[Archer Azura]

 I searched all over the internet and it seems that my bug is similar yet slightly different to the corrupted save game glitch.

-I have Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox 360 elite. 
-Have no DLC, and am not currently connected to Xbox live, though I do have an Xbl account. Just no internet.
-Just bought the game yesterday, have around 6-10 hours of gameplay completed. (Got to the part with the elves and the werewolf hunt, if that helps?)
- Scratched my original character not far in and instead made a new one.. ( So this is my second game technically..)

I always manually save, and save over the same file each time I do so, letting the autosave doing it's thing. I don't believe I've ever loaded from the autosave, either.

Normally when I put the game in to load it, it says "Save 1 - Azura" and I load that. It is my manual save.
But tonight when I went to the manual load screen, my file was not there. Only an autosave from the Fade. (Which had 16 minutes of gameplay on it.)
There was no error displayed that said anything like "file corrupted". My save game simply was not there.
I Am CERTAIN that I saved, and no.. I did not accidentally delete my game. 
Also - the save game data shows up in my xbox harddrive, under xbox settings.


So my questions I guess would be..
Is there a way to get my game back? =[
Is there a way to load the game directly from the hard drive? (Without having saved the whole game to the HDD.)
Would installing the game on my harddrive help? I don't want to start a new game if I know this is going to keep happening..

And also, ..shouldn't my autosave be from recently?..Since I didn't disable it or anything.. instead it is still from the beginning of the game?

If it helps, I've sold some stuff to merchants, though I dont know what their names were.. always transferred stuff I didnt want to my junk and mass sold. I don't believe there's a possibility it could be the corrupted save glitch, because my file just isn't there, and I was not that far into the game..

When you load a save, you should be able to switch characters by hitting X (as I recall). Save files for other characters will not show up in the list for the "active" character. Have you confirmed that you're trying to load a save for the right character?

Oh my gosh, that was the problem. Thank you!

It was just very confusing because it shows my character (Azura) under that one autosave,

but then for some reason, my further along file of the same character is considered a different one. Strange.

But thanks for helping. Boy do I feel stupid now lol.

It probably has something to do with saving over the same file.
