Hey, i'm doing the companion quest for sten, but for some reason after dwyn gives me the key, i can't have the chest activate to loot. (like, it doesn't sparkle for me to loot it) but i have the key. i go back to faryn and start a conversation again, but its been reset like i've havent talked to him before with the same dialogues.
Info- i chose the option to give some moolah to know where dwyn was, and persuaded for 3 gold.

yeah, sten's quest is bugged for me too.....except i can get into the chest but there is no sword. The quest log tells me to talk to faryn still but he just says "ive told you all i can" or something like that.

swords in the chest? i NEVER got it like that. 

I typicaly talked to the Scavangers (one in Lake Calanhad before the Tower then leading up to the one outside the dwarf city). Then i go to Redcliff bash Daryn door in then intimidate him into giving me the sword.  But then my Arcane Warrior Elf is just badass like that. Doesnt take kindly to dwarfs with stolen goods with an attitude problem. 

I never got no key to a chest in that sequence honestly was wondering what that keyed chest was in the back of the room.

Yeah, i wish i could intimidate him except im a rogue and lack any strength.

I soo wish Bioware made more bashable doors in Dragon Age than that just one. It felt so good kicking that door in.

prusade works just as well. Ever have Sten in your party too? different dialog in that speech set.

hmm, i dont remember seeing a persuade option. I will try again. Or maybe ill come back later in the game when i have higher coercion
