You're very close to what they're planning, Gremlin.

During my long ninja-infiltration of Bioware's offices and bribing Devs, I've uncovered what they have planned.

I'll admit I am as of yet unaware of what they're going to call it, and I'm still thinking up a good codename. For now I'm going with Femme Fatale Meter. Or just the Fatale Meter for short.

But the female Hawke version of the Manliness Meter won't be the Period system as I mentioned in my thread, there've been cuts to that system and I suspect it will be cut entirely.

What they have their eyes on now is centered around the hair. Female Hawke's will be able to channel their powers of awesome through their hair, allowing for direct control of their flowing locks. It'll be easier from now on if you watch this (starting at 0:45) to provide proper context of what I'm talking about.

 When the Fatale Meter is at its lowest levels, you will have to choose one of three styles; the ponytail, the bun or go with loose hair. And Bioware have taken away the option of Female Characters going shaven-head. In short; as you advance your Fatale Meter, you will be able to kill enemies with your hair.

The ponytail's powers will be focused on direct damage, you will be able to lash out with this fifth apendage. Higher levels of the Fatale Meter will unlock upgrades to a braid, combined with the longer length that unlocks the higher tier abilities, your hair will becoming a punishing whip. This style gives an Intimidate bonus and goes well with a Rogue. At the highest levels, your ponytail will be an unstoppable freight train of hair.

The bun will be more focused on defensive abilities, such as expanding into a defensive shield of womanly caratin. High levels will unlock something like what you see in the fan-service game Bayonetta, where your armor is made up entirely of your hair, granting massive bonuses to defense in combat, and an irrisistable Charm outside of it.

Going loose hair will be a balance between the two. Your long, flowing locks will be like an unstoppable wave of herbal-scented death, blowing back enemies with abilities such as "Shampoo Commercial Audition" . Players at the highest level of the Fatale Meter with this style will find themselves using their hair to control the movements of enemies, striking out at multiple opponents at a time. And outside of combat, they will have an irresistable Charm with whoever they meet.

You can choose to let your hair go un-tended to, which allows for additonal combat bonuses, but decreases Cunning, as your out-of-control hair starts growing into your brain.

You will have to Brush your hair periodically, there will be a brushing skill that operates like the Shaving skill for the Manliness Meter.

You will also have a bevy of shampoo options, different types give different bonuses. Greater shine, volume or moisturization. These effect the powers of your hair.

At the Barber Shops, you will have the option of changing your hair style, however this costs quite a bit of money and resets you to either begining-level or mid-level depending on your original level when you got it restyled.
