If I can make a suggestion; maybe its better to ask what difficulty people use or like best with different classes. There're people complaining about Adept (and to a lesser extend; other caster classes) being gimped on Insanity, but they do like playing them on easier levels.
Keep us informed Mesina2, I'm curious to see how others voted.

Done, nice survey btw though I had a hard time rating all classes. I like all, but I'm in awe with Adept and very much liked Vanguard. Everything else is just a little behind, but still fun playing.

I honestly dont see peoples problems with adept, I still think its the strongest class. Singularity catches all enemies, bar the YMIR mechs, drains all defenses. Yes it does drain shields, and has a short cooldown. You can get warp bombs off every few seconds, probably around 10 or so. And if they get too close, bam, throw them. I hope they dont buff it, itll make it too easy.

I'm an Adept Extremist (check my sig how I play Adept on Insanity, some solo vids included). I consider the Adept to be the most fun and versatile class in ME2 - but some people prefer spamming one power without thinking how different powers can work together to setup devastating combos - and thats what the Adept is about (even by themselves they can setup warp explosions every 5 s (with cd reduction).
I don't want biotics to affect protected enemies like in ME1 - it breaks the game, but I'm looking forward to see what Bioware has in stock for the Adept with upcoming dlc.

Vanguard is the very first line soldier, the last resort when all hope is lost. the one that jumps into battle, no matter the price and kick the hell out of his enemies.
It's the only kind of person who can save the galaxy.
All the other classes are my least favorite. Vanguard is my battlemaster. He has no match.

Vanguard. Only a vanguard can be crazy enough to save the galaxy with 2 people from giant chtulu robots, against all odds, standing up against and the government, kick ass in spectacular moves and jumps in the middle of a hell of explosions and asking for more.

If we are going to mod the game, then my Vangaurd with infinite Cain ammo which fires instantly would cream your Claymore adept.

If you Charge and use CAIN - you're death
Btw, the new Geth shotty is far better for Adept (wasn't available at the time), but I still prefer Claymore - just love the way it looks and sounds
@ theelementslayer; that's the best thing about the Adept, you can fight up close and personal or you can toy with your victims from afar. A win-win situation.

My point is, once you've modded the game, you cant make any claims of superiority.
My Mattock Vangaurd could cream any unmodded class anyday.

In a 1/1 fight, the second you spot me means it's already too late. You've already taken a mozafukang charge and 8 claymore round just right in the face.
And just a little punch for a silly coup de grace. Because we love to kill with humour.
There is NO WAY an adept can kill a vanguard. If I'm genlte, after my first charge and attack, I'll let you some time to try a biotic (lol). the only thing you'll manage is blow my shields and run by the time my cooldown are up. Too bad my shields refill the same time I'm flying right to you at the speed of light, invincible. To give you another shotgun blast that'll doom the tiny bit of health left.
Maybe i'll get a lot trickier for me if you have a claymore. But I'll still have the advantage of first strike. And if I don't strike first, I'll be refilled in one charge.

Depends how you mod the game. I normally remove squadies and HW making it much harder instead of easier. I'm not making claims of superiority, all classes are powerful in their own way - I only like the Adept a little more than the other classes. Vanguards are great too.
I consider the Mattock and GPS (even more) OPed. They're both more powerful than unique weapons (Revenant and Claymore) and you can use them all game (with Soldier and/or Vanguard). Claymore is at least balanced. Very powerful at close range - utterly worthless beyond. It's probably the most difficult gun to use effectively - but its defenitely my favourite. I consider it a flaw from the devs to limit this beast to be used by only 2 classes - so yes I modded the game to correct this

I would love to see how classes compete in some sort of multiplayer game, but I can tell that Infiltrator beats Vanguard: They use Cloak (so there's nothing to Charge - 'can't get a lock') > take their time to aim > Bam! - Widow headshot > game over.

A favourite is a favourite, i guess. Nothing wrong with that.
I just cant imagine any class beating the Vangaurd because, frankly, Charge is just so absoloutly absurd.

If it can kill with one shot while heavy barrier is up.
Thats the thing with the Vangaurd. You only ever get one shot against them.

Indeed, cloaked inflintrator owns vanguard easily. But adept can kiss my charging shotgunner's ass
I agree with you, I'd love to see a pvp game for Mass effect

Agreed, Charge is most powerful ability in ME2, but I got bored after a while. Still love to charge around now and then, but toying with enemies before killing them is very cool too.

This. If your first shot doesn't kill and it won't against a Heavy Barrier Adept; your Vanguard will be trapped in a Singularity and be at the Adept's mercy.

I think pvp is too limited - its better to fight in teams. Would be very nice indeed

Well, in my case I was thinking without the optional special powers. Things get a lot more complicated with that.
So cloaked Infi can one shot a vanguard as he has only shields.
I was thinking the same about fighting agaisnt the claymore adept. As a claymore vanguard I actually have ONE chance to take him down. Charge, claymore shot (takes your shields and about 3/4 of your heal, or can kill you instantly if well aligned in the head), melee, melee or something like that. melee is great because it has a little stunning effect and deal a hell lot of damage.
But if I miss just one of this, I'm done. One claymore shot from him, and my shields are gone, he just have to cast singularity to have plenty of time to slaughter me while I'm tripping balls in the air.
But that's in the case I miss my shot. As I never miss, the adept is dead
I'm thinking maybe an eviscerator vanguard would do better than a claymore one on pvp. Evi deal almost as much damage and allow a larger range for error as it has faster fire rate.
that's of course in the case we don't use the other classes special powers so no barrier.

The assault sentinel is best played by punching the majority of your enemies to death on insanity. That made it more fun than a vanguard for me.

I know how you play your Sentinel Mosor; combat shows more resemblance to a boxing match than a fire fight

Personally the Engineer is my overall favourite. I guess it just reflects my personality better than the rest.
