Howdy.

As per title, I am wondering if it is possible to replace the battledress of provocateur's mesh and texture with one from Underworld Armory mod.  What I've tried was attempting to extract the armor from from the addon's erf file to tinker with it in the toolset, but it doesn't seem to like the content from dlc much :P. Can't open the .erf.

Is there any way to do it without changing the appearance of all leather armor in game to a different model?

Thanks in advance :)

The mechanics of such a change are very easy - just put the appropriate Underworld models and textures in the Override folder and change the filenames and internal references to whatever the name of the Battledress of the Provocateur model is. That's the rub though - finding out that name. I don't have Leliana's Song so I can't help on that front. Judging by the image on Wikia though it's just the bog standard female human light armour, so possibly it's just an added variation of that.

Another rub is, I think it actually references the standard studded leather model. Can't say for certain because I can't extract it.(Is it a problem on my end, or simply DLC copy protection issue with the toolset?) So, in theory, changing the model and texture of all standard game armors to underworld one would do it. But that would defeat the purpose of making battledress look unique :P. And dwarfs in leather armor would appear as floating heads, since underworld armory is human/elf specific.

Ah well.

Yes, you could override the base leather armour mesh for Human and Elf females (dwarfs have their own mesh so would be unaffected), but as you say that's not desirable (not to mention impractical, as you'd also need to account for the different texture requirements).

What you need is the name of the MMH, as it specifies the model and textures. Like I said, it's possibly just named as a variant of light armour, which some quick experimentation should determine. Looking at Wikia, there are armours for Origins and Awakening as well as the DLC version. You could try hf_arm_lgtf_0 and onwards. A to D are the 4 base variants used in Origins, and E appears to be used in Awakening. The same applies for Elves, except the filename is ef_arm_lgtX_0.

Looking at the ERFs' TOCs, I don't even find custom mmh/phy files for this. Considering the armor appearance is just Studded Leather armor, I assume they just used a tint override on the UTI with that existing variant. So to override this, you'd have to replace the UTI: prc_dao_lel_im_arm_cht_01.uti (for DAO) and prc_daep1_lel_im_arm_cht_01.uti (for Awakening).
