Huh? Methinks you troll, or you've found a bug somewhere, I'm seeing 20 USD for 1600 BW points.  On topic, my cost per hour for DLC and the vanilla game are low enough from so much play that it isn't worth my missed playtime to analyze it

Your payment options are like seven times too high.

Well, that sounds like a localization issue or some really wonky web bug. I go to the same place and see $20, $10, $7, and $5.

I'd try a different web browser. Another tact is to click on the point option you want, click "Continue to Payment Options" In that screen there is a spot that says "Your Order" and see if the amount is right in there.

I'm sorry, but this system setup for DLC is purely BS. I'm not trying to offend people, but if you compare it say to steam it pales in comparison (in price and application). I've been a Huge fan of Bioware since it's very early days and have most of their games. From Baldur's gate seires, NWN series (1+expansions), KOTOR , and more recently ME 1-3 and DA ultimate. So I've enjoyed and loved all these games for over a decade, I'm very familar with Bioware and respect them.

I don't think this DLC fiasco was Bioware's doing, it's obviously the handy work of EA and their money pinchers. I pre-ordered ME2 and beaten it twice, but I haven't bought a single DLC (except what I got from the Cerberus access) for the expressed reason I thought it was overpriced and using a terrible "points" system. I was looking to buy some of the ME2 DLC today, because I recently bought ME3 and wanted to fill out some more backstory. I was hopeful they may have lowered the price.. but I knew it was wishful thinking.

If I want to get the main storyline DLC's it's going to cost 35 dollars. If I wanted to get all the DLC it would most likely cost over 50 bucks, nearly the price of a brand new game (I don't consider wardrobe changes and a few extra weapons worth the price). A big sales run on steam I could most likely get 3-4 big titles games (older ones) for the same price. Not everyone is a fan of steam, but I've used many of the big video game apps (steam, origin, and impulse) for many years now.

I try and be as objective and fair as possible. But so far steam has been the most fair and easy to use. Why is it impossible for Biowares DLC to go on sale? (I surmize this is mainly EA's doing). Why do we need to use an insulting and sloppy point system, where it leaves us remainder points that try and get us to buy the smaller (and in my opinion irrelevant) DLC? Why can't Bioware/EA give us the opportunity to buy all the DLC as a combo pack, say for 20-30 dollars? I would consider getting all of the DLC for a fair price, instead of getting things piecemeal.

I whole heartily respect Bioware and have no doubts that all of the DLC are done to an expert and professional manner. I don't doubt I'd enjoy the majority of them, but I've hestitated buying any of them for years now because how unfair its implemented. I've bought dozens of different DLC on steam because they give sales and very easy access. Is their way the best? Not for everyone, but at least they try.

I hope I haven't riled any feathers, it's not my intent. I just wish EA would give us a break on their DLC and give more people the chance of trying them. I'm still on the fence for buying any of ME2's DLC.
