Value is relative.

For me? Yes, it is reasonable, but keep in mind where i live a new game can cost $120.

So i buy very, very few games, but support them and play them to death.

I'm willing to fork over 10 - 15 - 20 if your DLC provides something of worth.

For me... not interested in Overlord or Kasumi. Shadow Broker however looks like something worthy to invest in.

Choice is great eh?

Remember that creating a DLC isent free, the game designers, programers, VAs, scripters etc all need to get payed.
so If Kasumi DLC cost 100000$ to make(just pulling numbers out of my rear end here) and they sell it at 5$ that means that they have to sell atleast 20000 DLC just to get to 0, they ofc want to sell more so they go in profit, afterall they are a company...

I already know that.. but I still think that they should sell it for less.. for example. If the DLC is roughly 2,5 hous then why not sell it for that? Paying $1 for one hour of game looks like a good deal to me.. but paying roughly $5 for 2,5 hours seems too much for me..

Eventualy I will buy it anyway, but it would be great if they would reduce the price.. Or have those great sales like Steam does.. where you get stuff for practically nothing.. :)

I have had eight and a half playthroughs(two Vangaurd, two Infiltrator, Two Engineer, one and a half Adept, one Soldier) so multiply that 2.5 hours by 8.5 for me.

I think you should ask a video game company to let them tour their HQ and see just how much goes into your "1 hour of gameplay".

I don't need a tour to know how much work goes into it. (but I would love to do one)

In relation to full games DLC is very expensive. It just seems cheap since the prize tag is no big sum. Its clever marketing that abuses the average customer lazyness for doing calculations.

Nope! Not expensive at all. I mean, what's the alternative? Throw the game in the drawer and allow months to pass by as we await a sequel? These guys and gals are doing a favor for us by expanding the DA story, or enriching the original game with a plethora of various perspectives. Worth it to me to throw 5 bones every now and then partake in the fruits of their hard work.

And now I'l close with a :)

Way too expensive, I can get the full game itself for 7 euros (they did some crazy summer sale, but the -50% stuck on it after, until the game is out of stock).

We don't know that yet.. It might be just the same Cerberus DLC and a little bit of extra content to show them the story so far.. aka ME1 story.

DLC for overlord was worth it the Aegis pack I'm not going for sense its guns and I would've liked to get the alter appearance pack for free but its price point I don't really have a complaint on I just hope any future DLC for clothing is free unless you get like 8 outfits or something.

Kasumi... no

Overlord... no

Appereance pack,.... well if you buy a car and then the auto dealer charges you extra to include tires... do you think is more expensive? lol

Fire Power..... if you buy a house... but the real estate agent tells you that even though it cost you what a normal house is on average, your house will recquire extra money to get the roof and all the windows....

same deal lol

A more easily understandable metaphor... analogy w/e

Your average movie ticket is 9.50 across the nation, just average.

You pay your ticket, and what do you expect? a movie

Well turns out, the door to the teather is locked, so they'll be generous enought o sell you the key for another .50 cents. And there is actually no seat... so you gota pay anothe .50 for the seat.

Oh but guess what... the movie, in the 21st century, is in black and white... and no sound... pay extra for that too.

but of course that is "hard work" and being "generous"

I think that pretty much sums it up :P

A typical ME2 play-through clocks in at 35 to 40 hours for me, and I paid $60 for my pc collectors edition (waste of $10 but that's irrelevant) so it would be fair to say I spent $1.75 per hour, for every play-through, past and future. After the actual cost of printing and packing the game, distribution, and the retailers cut Bioware/EA gets $25 of that at the most, and that's not including overheads like all the adspace they bought on sites like IGN, or those nifty Fight for the Lost TV spots. The only DLC I have bought to date is Overlord, I've played it once and will do so again on future play-throughs (but I have not intention of going back to play it for the 6 I've already completed) and it took me about 2 hours (rounded up). So that comes out to $3.50 per hour of content, twice what I paid for the principle game. That's not accounting for the slightly lower production value of the DLC compared to the main game, the fact that I won't play it as much, or that Bioware/EA get all of that $7 (minus a few cents at most for hosting and bandwidth overheads) Am I saying Overlord was bad? No, I thought it was very good. In retrospect was it worth my 7 bucks? Not even remotely. Do I regret rewarding this business model? You have no idea.

Is it too expensive? Well people still buy the DLC, so Bioware/EA can sell it at whatever pricepoint they want. (even if it is baldfaced greed (unless the principle game sales failed to turn a profit somehow))

P.S. Regardless, $2 for the alternate appearance pack is seriously just insulting.

I don't mind it at all, its entertainment value/money is pretty damn high.
