Is the DLC too expensive?

For me? Yes, it is reasonable, but keep in mind where i live a new game can cost $120.
So i buy very, very few games, but support them and play them to death.

For me... not interested in Overlord or Kasumi. Shadow Broker however looks like something worthy to invest in.
Choice is great eh?

so If Kasumi DLC cost 100000$ to make(just pulling numbers out of my rear end here) and they sell it at 5$ that means that they have to sell atleast 20000 DLC just to get to 0, they ofc want to sell more so they go in profit, afterall they are a company...

I already know that.. but I still think that they should sell it for less.. for example. If the DLC is roughly 2,5 hous then why not sell it for that? Paying $1 for one hour of game looks like a good deal to me.. but paying roughly $5 for 2,5 hours seems too much for me..
Eventualy I will buy it anyway, but it would be great if they would reduce the price.. Or have those great sales like Steam does.. where you get stuff for practically nothing..

I have had eight and a half playthroughs(two Vangaurd, two Infiltrator, Two Engineer, one and a half Adept, one Soldier) so multiply that 2.5 hours by 8.5 for me.

I think you should ask a video game company to let them tour their HQ and see just how much goes into your "1 hour of gameplay".ShadoX_LV wrote...

I don't need a tour to know how much work goes into it. (but I would love to do one)javierabegazo wrote...

Nope! Not expensive at all. I mean, what's the alternative? Throw the game in the drawer and allow months to pass by as we await a sequel? These guys and gals are doing a favor for us by expanding the DA story, or enriching the original game with a plethora of various perspectives. Worth it to me to throw 5 bones every now and then partake in the fruits of their hard work.

We don't know that yet.. It might be just the same Cerberus DLC and a little bit of extra content to show them the story so far.. aka ME1 story.ACF76 wrote...

Overlord... no
Appereance pack,.... well if you buy a car and then the auto dealer charges you extra to include tires... do you think is more expensive? lol
Fire Power..... if you buy a house... but the real estate agent tells you that even though it cost you what a normal house is on average, your house will recquire extra money to get the roof and all the windows....
same deal lol
A more easily understandable metaphor... analogy w/e
Your average movie ticket is 9.50 across the nation, just average.
You pay your ticket, and what do you expect? a movie
Well turns out, the door to the teather is locked, so they'll be generous enought o sell you the key for another .50 cents. And there is actually no seat... so you gota pay anothe .50 for the seat.
Oh but guess what... the movie, in the 21st century, is in black and white... and no sound... pay extra for that too.
but of course that is "hard work" and being "generous"
I think that pretty much sums it up

Is it too expensive? Well people still buy the DLC, so Bioware/EA can sell it at whatever pricepoint they want. (even if it is baldfaced greed (unless the principle game sales failed to turn a profit somehow))
P.S. Regardless, $2 for the alternate appearance pack is seriously just insulting.
