Miranda resigns from Cerberus

Before I did this I thought the arguments *for* Cerberus were pretty tenuous at best.. but I am really struggling to see why anyone would support TIM at all (post ME2)... pretty much the entire crew think you should blow it.
I know this topic is a very flogged horse, but I'm having a hard time really accepting there's any situation than an EVIL one where you're gonna side with TIM... and I mean EVIL and not renegade...
Are TIM supporters just being contrarians and oppositionists... or are there some decent arguments pro cerberus that haven't been discussed yet?

I can see, though, even if TIM really is right, Shepard's crew siding with Shepard no matter what anyway. After all, Shepard recruited them and helped them with their loyalty missions and forged them into a team to be reckoned with. I'd side with him/her too if I was in their position.

You can blow the base and not completely cut ties with TIMmy.
You can?

Is that really true? Interesting. I know there are quite a lot of variables with the ending- what would you say would be the gist of that conversation, in that case?

During the final conversation with TIM you can say "You're on my team now (or FU!)" or you can say something else (more renegade)...
If you say - "play on my team now" he says the "don't turn your back on me" speech and you cut off the signal and leave.

If you take the neutral choice, TIM tells you he brought you back, and you tell him that you're going to do what he brought you back to do, but do it your way.

And if she is not loyal (side with Jack) she DIES! Yes I strongly HATE her from the beginning, more so after Meeting Tali. And she gives you BAD advice continually.JohnnyBeGood2 wrote...
yeah true... I was surprised Miranda resigned... I read her as a Cerberus groupie and seeing her resign seems such an act of repudiation towards TIM.

She's grown on me... but you're right she does give some bad advice - like that she can competantly handle the biotic feild... she can't people die if she does it.

It is actually quite easy to have Miranda be disloyal and not die. She can even survive leading the second fire team while disloyal, and is in fact the only squaddie that can pull off this feat.

She gives good advice too, like shutting down idiot Jacob when volunteers for the tech job (seriously? the one time I saw him use his damn omnitool was to read a datapad!) and pointing out that you need someone with leadership skills for the first fire team.
Not a Miranda fanboy by any stretch, but I definitely respect her.

Yes. Is there anything you want to know about? There's nothing different from Miranda plus any other team member.Mesina2 wrote...
Did anyone tried to with Miranda and Jacob final boss fight?

Having said that, I've never actually tried it - the only place I've ever used Jacob after the intro was his loyalty mission. >_<

Pretty much half the crew advises you to keep it. Namely: Legion, Mordin, Zaeed, Grunt and Garrus.JohnnyBeGood2 wrote...

So why bring it up again, just because of some goof by a silly overconfident b*tch who is in the business only for her daddy issues?JohnnyBeGood2 wrote...

Duty calls. And since Shepard's superiors (Anderson, Udina and Hackett) are apparently OK with that, he'll do his part in the Cerberus' ranks.

I actually think Jacob is one of the better squadmates when it comes to combat.lazuli wrote...
I recently did a "Jacob Challenge," where I used him on every single mission. I saved the base, though, so I didn't see if he has anything to say when the Illusive Man chews you out.

And yet literally as soon as the mission is over they say, on retrospect, that you made the right choice, excepting Zaeed and Grunt who do not care.
Just wanted to bring up that little factoid.

Are you sure? I never had Legion with me at the moment of choice, but I know for a fact that he doesn't want you to keep it. The Geth's whole raison d'etre is not relying on the technology of their forebears. If you destroy the station, Legion even says "Perhaps you are more like us than we first thought" - meaning Legion would nuke that **** to hell and back too.
Mordin actually laughs imagining how infuriated TIM must be.
Garrus goes along with everything you do as usual.
Grunt calls you weak if you turn it over to TIM.
I didn't get Zaeed's opinion, he was still rambling about past missions because I hadn't been talkling to him.

First of all Miranda must consider that her resignation could put Oriana at grave danger UNLESS she already take care for that ( perhaps crew of the shuttle which Oriana and her family uses have "accident" so timmy will not have chance to pull another "cerberus medical care for Veetor" stunt in order to learn where is Oriana since cerberus did poses crew list for that ship).
Maybe in ME 3 Walters will finally give us a chance to learn more about her and i still think how her relations with Liara will look once Lia become again party member and known thier connection to Lazarus.

Barrier's cooldown and Jacob's tendency to use it frequently without prompting from the player makes him somewhat unreliable. But we're getting off topic.
