It would be nice to know if we had more to look forward to than even more gratuitous fountains of blood.

We care because it harms the authenticity and believability of the setting. Something which is rather important for an RPG.nhsk wrote...
Why do we care? It's animated pixels, and if the story goes along with what we see it doesn't really matter.

I'm not sure we can blame restrictions and media when CD Projekt ( a far smaller developer ) is doing it.AntiChri5 wrote...
Will be the first thing modded in, and they have less restrictions/rabid media.
I don't recall suggesting turning everyone into naked nymphomaniacs.Dave of Canada wrote...
But the believability of the setting is also questioned when you can have sex with people because you saved their cat and that there's naked people everywhere.

Self-censorship is a horrible thing. I wish BioWare and EA could move past it.

Smaller companies (indie companies?) have an easier time doing this kind of stuff than larger companies. They will still have to censor the physical copies in the US, just like the first Witcher.Marionetten wrote...

Obviously, it should be applied where appropriate. Such as brothels and sex scenes.
Yet Dragon Age: Origins was far more in your face with talk of sex. Zevran, anyone?slimgrin wrote...
The Witcher is meant to be in your face with sex. It's part of the books.
And the sooner we ignore those prudes the better.slimgrin wrote...
But most likely we'll get love scenes with diapers cause there are legions of prudes clamoring for less sexuality in games.
The US version was indeed censored. This was a decision made by the publisher. The US version of The Witcher 2 will not be censored.relhart wrote...
I was living in Europe when I bought The Witcher, so maybe I'm wrong...I'm pretty sure the NA version was still censored though.
