Are you pc gaming is being down because of the consoles???
Are you really sure?
I think your gathering the wrong conclusion...
Making a cheap dumb game is quite easy...Making a very deep great game...is not and tends to take quite a bit of resources and time to make which overrall even if it sells well....will not make as much money as other average games...

Actually if you look at 90's, early 2000's - the PC games were higher quality and had more depth back then. Enter console market. Once the games started being available on both PC and Consoles, all the little Johnnies and little Timmies started crying how hard, long and complex these PC games were compared to "point and shoot" console games. It was unfathomable that the game had replay value. What for? They just used mommy's credit card to buy the same game in a week with updated graphics. Naturally the squeaky wheel gets the grease and so companies started destroying PC gaming for the sake of consoles. Games were made shorter, simpler, easier and with more emphasis on pure action rather than puzzles, story, complex mechanics, replayability. God forbid a console player with the attention span of my pet poodle actually read the game manual and took the time to learn the game mechanics or brainstorm the optimal build to beat the game without cheats. No. They need flashy graphics, sex scenes, gore and 10 hour storyline so they can buy whatever is next rammed down their throats.

You seem to forget that PC was the home of shooting games during those "AMAZING" times.

Its all about online play....I played WoW GUild wars and numerous other free MMOs...Fun part about all of them was the PVP....AMbushing someone questing as a hunter in WOrld pvp in WOW was quite fun...Send in the pet run away after slowing the enemy...most people ignore pets so you let the pet do all the work while running. They die you repeat as they try to outsmart you. Many more things can ahppen in PvP because of the human element....Of course I got tired of WoW as low level world pvpv generally was gone as they made leveling super easy.

Same with GW once you put people in an arena there is only so many ways you can play it...

I imagine your nto very good at PvP otherwise you would find it quite fun.

They usually only remember that when they need to tell console gamers how much better PC shooters were than anything we ever had back then.

It's not necessary, always looks awkward and just not worth development time. Romances in DA were all crap anyway and not sure why the trend will stop. Adding sex scene to satisfy some loser won't make it better. Bioware's last good RPG romance was Aerie in BG2 and they didn't need sex scene to make it good.

The trend has always been there, it has only evolved with the time.  Going back to the 60's and 70's and earlier romance has been a part of most movies, it has only evolved to include the "sex" part of the romance.  From "sex" scenes it evolved to included the nudity part.

While I agree it is not necessary, look at the movie Avatar the highest gossing movie of all time, it did include a sex scene, would it have got less money if it was not included?  No it would not.

I do think a romance should be included in DA2, like most of the great movies have, do I need nudity in the game? No.

Know what I want to see?

Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic Obscura... 2. That game was amazing, nothing you'd ever see on a console.

Yeah, consoles fail. Leave PC games alone and go play Super Mario.

Go watch pornography online if you want realistic sex scenes. You sound like a total loser. Getting jollies over pixels is sad and pathetic.

I would thank you not to attribute your own juvenile obsessions to me.

Believe it or not but some of us are capable of seeing a human being naked without popping a stiffy. Give it a few years and I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy this amazing talent, too. Perhaps then you will understand the argument.

That's funny.

I've never heard of those 2 games and Mario is the most famous video game character in existence.

So I guess I will go "play Mario".

Asking for sex scenes in a video game and then calling someone a kid. That is rich.

I remember the legendary console game, Half-Life, that revolutionarized territory that other console games like Quake, Hexen, Duke Nukem, etc. had treaded. Truly, Half-Life was the moment I can say point and shoot really advanced on consoles.

You make it sound like only kids could want sex in video games....and good sex....no only adult would complain about the quality of sex scenes......kids...would just eat it up.....
