Are we done with the unnecessary censorship yet?

Or if you went the Mass Effect 2 route. They didn't make love in their clothes, they just started to undress and get down into it and then it faded to black. Those are great choices and I enjoyed them in the other games.

I can't understand the problem people seem to have about her eyelashes remark. Is it such a bad, borderline-psychotic thing to be a hopeless romantic? That's how her comment came off to me, at least. I didn't find it psychotic, I found it a nice if a bit failed attempt at being romantic.
Partially because she's fully dressed, kneeling at your feet, staring at your eyelashes intently as you sleep. I don't think she's psychotic, but I was explaining why others do.

Ah, ok. That could certainly come off as a bit psychotic to some people. Guess it's just a matter of opinion, then.

After seeing what the Devs have posted about 'just because we can, doesn't mean we should' gives me alot of confidence that DA2 'love' scenes will be a but more unique and tasteful, if not grafic.
I still hope for tasty side boob, though. What can I say? I'm a perv

I am personally offended at the attacks upon console players like we are some kind of disease that needs to be cured. For there are people like me, who respect the PC gameing theater and the games that came from it. However are unable to enjoy it because I can't keep my PC ugraded in order to enjoy games on the platform they were designed for. On top of that I always feel left out due to the fact I can't use the amazeing mods that exsist for games like this.
To me personaly the story and immersion value takes place over everything else (i.e gameplay, graphics, etc.) that includes optional stories like romances. I have always believed they were a beautiful part of Bioware's games. Despite the fact they normally involve "slavish agreement" as it were. Which is fairly unrealistic in terms of love but nothing is perfect.
In relation to this particular subject I believe some levels of nudity is needed for certin situations (i.e a romance scene.) Also like it has been stated countless times already. Mass Effect achieved this with perfection and could not possibly be better given Bioware's situation. Fox News even declared an offical apology much later and admitted their reporters did not receive all the proper information regarding the subject matter thereof. Conversley the aformentioned negative media Bioware received from that, in my personal opinion, only added to their sales and thus made Bioware look like a victim of an unjust attack. This leads me to conclude that if Bioware attempted such things again people would research the subject better before down talking the product.

I don't see why this is such a issue to be honest that it even warrants a debate.
The consumer base is clearly in favor and open minded about this and one has to keep in mind that these suggestions in general only concern the more blatant issue regarding the "infamous" underwear scenes, their composition of angles and movement.
This is not asking for something distasteful or obscene that would harm the product but a tasteful standard in form of an actual romantic display that has been set by Bioware since Mass Effect 1 as I can recall.
In effect you could have an actual scene(unlike ME2) and partial nudity without diminishment of any sort.
The fact of the matter that this is regarded a "risque" element and its implementation akin to a "battle" is telling rhetoric, which I find puzzling.
The age rating wouldn't be affected nor would this lead to bad press, which was an extreme non-issue and laughed at by both consumers and industry alike the one time it did happen unwarrantedly.
Well just my 2 cents anyhow.
Btw I'm sure if you manage to release the upgraded toolset for DA2 after release the crafty community will find a way to make those scenes "jiggy" enough

This is a very valid point to make in regards to Mr. Gaider's comments. However it is also understandable to see things from Biowares perspective. However Bioware I truly think the Fox News situation would not happen a second time and implementing a scene that resembles the touching Mass Effect scene would be the most significent improvement possible to the Dragon Age franchise as a whole. in my opinion at any rate.MoneyDeluxe wrote...

Also on a slightly unrelated topic the rumors circulateing about Dragon Age 2 being shorter in length then Dragon Age Origins is a bit on the disturbing side. Considering the chronological implications it does not make a great deal of logisical sense. Origins takes place over the course of two years at the most and spans around sixty hours in length on average. So useing common sense it only makes sense to deduce that Dragon Age 2 would be, if nothing else, significantly longer givin the ten year time frame provided. But alas I digress for this is beside the point.

Not necessarily. Assassin's Creed 2 took place over about ten years and clocked in at about 20 hours. I figure there'll be more than a few "X years later" fade ins, which is understandable.
On topic, I know i'm not the only one who felt that the underwear scenes in DAO or the scenes in Mass Effect 2 were pretty silly. It's like they took a step forward in Mass Effect and then took three steps backwards with their later games. I suppose trying to reach "broader audience" means removing any risk of controversy, even if it's to the detriment of the product as a whole. It's all about the bottom line.

Or maybe nudidity implied through camera angles and sillhouettes like in mass effect 1?
This does give me a bit of hope. I agree with those who found the scenes in DA:O a little awkward, but I understand why you would't want to go whole hog with nudity.
I actually think the ME1 scene is a fantastic and tasteful sequence and I would love to see something similar in DA:2 if such scenes are included.

I really don't want to see full-frontal either; I don't consider it having to with age. Most of the time, it's there for fanservice. The same effect can be done with modest camera angles.

I could care less, I can recall a time when I was playing Dante's Inferno and my wife walks by and asks, "Why is that chick topless? Just what the hell are you playing anyway?" Now that was awkward. Also the final fight with Lucifer was difficult, because I couldn't stop laughing at the physics of his package.

I went way beyond just being a knock off. It was the same ****ing game right down to level design, combat mechanics and art style. Except it was all incredibly mediocre.
