Hello everyone!

I recently noticed a slight crack on the second disk, its located on the edge of the middle ring, where the hole is. 
anyway it seems to run fine and i have been very careful with it so far but what i was wondering is if i installed Mass Effect 2 (both disks) on my Xbox 360, when it asks for a disk switch does it read the game? cause i was told you still had to switch disks when the game asks for it, but i want to make sure that even if my cracked second disk becomes unplayable i can still play from the hard-drive.

I believe that, if you download a game on the 360, in order to play it just detects if the game disc is there, and it plays from the HDD.

I don't know if it will detect a faulty disc, as my disc is in tip-top shape, so really I can't help you there.  I haven't gotten a "disc is unreadable" message from an installed game, though.

Had this problem with GTA4, it said disck is unreadable but when i installed it had a smother framerate and didnt give me dat message again.

Thank you for the responses, i will go head and install it then so i won't feel like i'm putting to much stress on the disk.
