I need to upgrade to a new laptop that can support this game and more.  I now the one I have the graphic card is too weak. and is always crashing.  I have found this one but was hoping I could get feed back if any one know this brand or type.  Or any suggestions.  I am not computer savey.  but I want something that can suppor DA and more.  I also want to start learning and creating Mod.  I like what you all do.  So I can you give me your review on the laptop.

Core i7 processor and a Mobility Radeon HD 5870? Looks good to me. I have an Asus laptop with much lower specs (Core i3 and Mobility Radeon HD 5470) and it's served me well enough.

That is actually a laptop that's designed for games. Yes it will run, without problems. But if you play with the battery alone, well, it will only take a few minutes to empty it.

Thanks Recnamoker for your input. I figure to keep the ac adapter on hand with any one I pick.. ha ha

Hamtyl07, thanks for the suggestion of bestbuy..... I will check with them too. now that I know what this other one has in it to compare, I can shop around to see what price I can find with the same stuff.

I knew you all would be able to help me. Just did not know what I was actually looking for. I am the type that you just give me the computer and I can run with it. the inside I have no clue :)

Remember that the Mobility Radeon is slightly weaker than the normal desktop Radeon since it is made for laptops. Also bear in mind that you cannot upgrade laptop graphics cards, unless you buy an external graphics card dock (right now it's about $100-$300, not including the graphics card).

But the Mobility Radeon 5870 is the best ATI has now, and really if you want to upgrade in the future the external dock price can only go down.   (I have a Mobility Radeon 5650 on this puppy, and I'm worrying about the exact same thing).

You will almost always be able to find better deals on laptops and other electronics at websites like Buy.com, newegg.com, woot.com, etc., than you will be able to at a retail store.

External videocards will not be able to play games. USB is just to slow. PCI-E 1x is equal to USB2.0. You would need 16 seperate USB ports to equal one PCI-E 16x slot.

If you connect it to an PCI-express unit into the PCI-E slot, then put the graphics card into that you can.
