 Hello,

I am currently working on this persistent world and it is just too much for me to do alone. I really want to get this thing up and running sometime, so having a team would really help me out. If anyone is interested in assisting me with building, scripting, modeling, etc... Please let me know.

For more information on the module/persistent world: http://nwvault.ign.c...s.Detail&id=205

Just a "bump."

Give it time and be patient. Also, please don't post just to bump a thread. This is a strict "no-no" and could lead to less pleasant actions. However, that said, a post that describes more of what you're attempting could have the same overall effect and not be a 'bump.' :) :) ;) ;) say no more.

can't help myself, but am happy for you to use bits from Serpent Hills/High Moor in my campaign once it's released (Hammer Hall, Halls of the Hammer, Dungeon of the Hark, Dungeon of Swords are all canon locations)

Thanks for the offer Wyrin, but I already have areas for those.

As for more detail, I shall list some points here...

This server will feature:

Local Vault

Original Music

Voiceovers

NPC Companions

Party creation feature from SoZ (Maybe, not sure how well it would work with 64 players)

DnD Sourcebook areas that are replicated, even in size.

Non-Dnd Sourcebook areas, or areas that do not have mapped counterparts.

Extensive dungeon crawling

Spawning, including unique encounters (Such as having a 10% chance of running into a group of slavers smuggling slaves in the sewers of Waterdeep)

Dialogue for every character, no NPCs that just turn to stare at you, most non-hostiles will have full conversations with multiple initial dialogue choices.

Languages, languages will be implemented in later stages.

Quests will have multiple endings, even the potential for complete and utter failure. Truly evil options are available as well, most of which will shift your alignment towards evil.

May use the SoZ worldmap system, or one like it. The default system only allows one party to travel at a time, if I understand correctly. For now, it uses a Baldur's Gate styled world map.

Truly epic dungeon crawls, Dragonspear Castle being one of the first (but not the last). Dragonspear Castle is even complete with the maze level from Hoards of Dragonspear. The map, like others, is replicated to match the mapped out sourcebook map. Dragonspear Castle will likely have 7-8 levels of 32x32 levels. For system performance, they may be shrunk down or split... But from limited play-testing they seem to run fine.

Competing Adventuring Parties led by NPCs will be encountered in dungeons at times. Depending on their alignment/attitude, the encounter may be helpful, hostile, or meaningless.

There are other features that are implemented or planned, but those are the ones that are being developed at the moment. As of now, the entire team is me, myself, and I. So any help would be a welcome addition to the project.

(There, dunniteowl, a more meaningful post. Hopefully this will help. :P)

I just wanted to point out that the main areas I need help with are texturing and area building. I could use assistance in the scripting area, but that does not take as much time as detailed area and texture design. The custom audio/music work is being done solely by myself, but if anyone would want to potentially submit voiceovers, that would be fine. Voiceovers are not exactly a focus of the module, they would be more of something to add after everything else comes together.
I thought I would mention that since it might seem like a potentially dead project if I needed people for everything listed. So if you would like to help build new areas, or even just texture them, that would be a great help to me!
