I stopped playing Dragon Age fow a few weeks, and now I put the disc in ready to play and PS3 says there is an update, but after completing the download of it, and start the game.....SILENCE. No sound what-so-ever. When I quit the game, the playstation has no sound too occasionally. Was there something wrong with the patch? I can play other games with sound, in the hopes that that will fix my DAO problem, but when I go back to DOA, nothing, but silence. Hard to play a game without sound, when dialog is key.

I have all the new patches (firmware and on game) and no sound problems...maybe it's not a problem with the patches...what are you using to connect the PS3 to your TV?

Any chance you could switch a cable out with something else, make sure it's not a hardware problem?

I too have no sound after the 1.5 patch and I too am using HDMI cables. I can't play DA:O without sound! Help!

Note: If it matters, I downloaded Awakenings via the PS3 Network.  Anyway... =((

I figured it out. Go to your audio settings, and remove DTS. Dolby Digital should be all you need selected. Works great and Dragon Age sounds awesome with Surround Sound on my HDTV!! =D

Thanks CHiLLFiRe. Just got the game and I thought I ****ed it up already.
