How do you guys tend to handle the Vorcha Flamer that's just around the corner guarding one of the shutters??

Most of the time I have no problems at all .. just come around the corner and kill him.   However [with a Soldier] I couldn't find a good way to snuff him out in NG+.  I did kill him but he popped me several times before I did him in.

Maybe I didn't headshot but the Geth Shotty + AR + Inferno Ammo wouldn't one shot him ...

Should I try to shoot some missles slightly around a corner or use some other heavy weapon -- Should I just flame back?   Is there an Ammo type that's guaranteed to stun him or auto-blow his tanks if you get a clean hit??  Is there a way to lure him to you??

Bait his attack from behind cover. After a fixed # of time firing, he'll pause .. time it so that just as he stops, you have adrenaline rush up and aiming.

In that position, it shouldn't be an issue.

Although, I've always wondered what hurling a flashbang around the corner might do .. anyone done that?

He's an absolute pain on soldier. I haven't tried it, but what if you used one of your squad mates as a meat shield? Then as he's burning your teammate, chew him up with adrenaline rush.

This.

If you're still having trouble and have the Phalanx pistol, use that and put 2 headshots in the Vorcha. Should kill in those 2 shots without a problem. You need to headshot them with any weapon regardless to stumble them and give you more time to shoot the next shot.

I hated that part. Quite honestly I just lured him in front of my cover and blasted him with my AR or shotgun.

That guy is such a pain. The [right, close] corner wall is glitched and absorbs squadmate powers. I run to the [left] corner across from the first corner when he isn't firing, and dispatch him from there.

Yeah I know this guy is there and yet I always run right into him. He's easy to beat though:

1. Make sure you kill his buddies first.

2. Take cover behind the corner.

3. Look around the corner, go back.

4. When he's done firing, Adrenaline Rush and aim for the tanks on his back.

5. Stay in cover for the next part :)

This part is a piece of cake as an engineer or infiltrator, engineers can distract it with combat drone and infiltrator can line up a perfect headshot while cloaked

I have. works well. If your using Flashbang as Shep's bonus talent, you can ricochet the grenade off the pillar. if you time it it right, you can hop the wall right before the corner just as it goes off, turn the corner, put one shot in his gas tank and take cover again.

Yeah, I got killed a couple times here. Really I to handle it without Adrenaline Rush just pop out of cover, hurdle over, then when he starts flaming, jump back over the cover again and see if he follows.

The only problem is that he sometimes goes back to his hiding space.

Also, you can always send your lone squadmate in as bait (Grunt works best), and pick him off when the pyro goes after him

I was goofing around last weekend and decided to bring out the Cain for my one-stop killing. I touched off the Cain at an angle that I thought would certainly kill everyone. I thought I hit where I wanted, walked around the corner and was surprised to see that a couple of Vorcha goons were killed but the flamer was at 100% health. I shortly wasn't at 100% health.

If you vault over the barrier and immediately hug the little outcropping of wall on the other side, his flames won't touch you. (They will appear to engulf you, but you will be unharmed.)

I've done this on Insanity on three different characters now. Here's a video demonstrating (not mine.)

1) kill his mates.

2) jump over that little wall (not an english speaker, i don't know how to call it... hell, i don't know the spanish word either) and stay on the left side.

3a) you'll see his arm and hand. don't move and just shoot him. he won't retaliate. an exploit, i know.

or

3b) operation meatshield. when the guy is having his fun with your squaddie, activate AR and shoot his fuel tank with your carnifex or something, get to cover.

I guess I'm the only one that was astonished that somehow my Cain shot that killed his buddy standing next to him and also killed a guy at the back of the room left the flamer totally unscratched?? I think I got jipped out of heavy weapon ammo :)

The Avalanche is very effective. Just lob a few rounds around the corner, and the AOE will freeze them right up.

Only time the ML77 Missile Launcher comes in handy. Just fire a couple of rounds around the corner.

Suddenly, all I can imagine is SNL's Celebrity Jeporady featuring Grunt.  Of course, he answers everything with the immortal line, 'I. AM. KROGAN.'

Spoiler: at the end, he beats Trebek to death with Sean Connery's severed arm.  Connery is pleased.
