Idea: mass effect universe recovering from Reaper war. Resources are thin as all races struggle to re build civilization and bring back hope to a shattered galaxy.
The Council comes up with a risky plan to gain resources. They're deciding on using The Citadel Mass Relay so that a fleet of ships can be sent into Reaper space to gather needed materials and technology. Some praise this bold plan while others dont want the risk of conflict with possible Reapers
Gameplay: first part of game convinsing races/allies/corporation that the council plans are safe( making promises and deals which will effect decisions) then next part exploring new Reaper space ( finding new tech, resources and races?)
Like idea as it gives you new area to explore while still being part of original mass effect galaxy. Also a good reason and foundation ( for the good of council races ) to take risk and go into Reaper space. Gives lots of room for various and possible storylines.
Like to hear what people think of idea.

I've only known Bioware to make RPGs (Only played the Mass Effect series), so my guess would be another RPG after Mass Effect 3.

I have 2 ideas that I think would be amazing for a new mass effect game

1. It takes place before mass effect 1 and you play as an unnamed hero (just because I haven't thought of a name) and some of your squad members are Nihlus, Saren and Admiral Anderson. And you are there to see Anderson to become a spectre. Close to the end You get to choose who you want to side with, either Saren or Nihlus, and if you choose Nihlus, you get Anderson and support from the council, but if you choose Saren you get Matriarch Benezia. I still haven't figured out the end yet, but I think it would be really fun to play.

2. You can play as your own Prothean that you create, With this idea it brings a whole new set of abilities and stuff, and maybe instead of classes you can choose your own embodyment, just like Javik embodies revenge. It could also bring a whole new set of non primitive species, because during the protheans time every other species that we know was very primitive, and as a tie-in you could have Javik as a squadmember and you can learn about the species before the protheans time.

What do you think?

I’m not sure how there can ever be another game in the ME universe.  The cannot place it after the events in the first three, as there is no way to account for the various endings (reapers destroyed, controlled, or synthesis).  If it was set well before the events in the first three, what would be the point?  We know every other cycle lost to the reapers.

It doesn't have to be the protheans fighting the reapers, it could be like mass effect 1 and just go off in a different direction, set well before the reapers did invade.

I like that idea, I think if a new Mass Effect game came out I would want it to be very much from the side of the "citizens" of Earth. What THEY go through during the invasion. A bit like a survival game.

the next mass effect game should be set after like 100-200 years later. Like on the origin of reapers and their creators i mean someone had to create them. We should be able to play as any of the other race like turian, asari or salarian each with limitations like turians can not be adepts or anything related to biotics. Salarians can not be soliders but engineers. get my gist and race like krogan, geth and quanarians should only be playable depending on the choices you made in me3.

each race with it's starting origin story like in DAO. and all the ending in me3 can be import ted like if you chose the synthesis ending you have a better defense but are weak to electromanetic pulses, enslaving the reapers means better weapons even for enemies, destroying the reapers more scavenging.

tell what happened to your former teammates in side missions. romances like liara or tali with shep has a kid (recruit able), garrus either became a spectre or went back to being ark angel(me1 talk) and had an apprentice another (recruit). stuff like that. and new character recruits

should have a completions and top 3 design should be the best ships available ships in game
should be able to purchase new ships in game.
create your own ships and be able to import that into game

bring back scavenging planets for resources, a fast scanner(me2 scanner for pc horrible)
Epic ship battles mini games.
improved mako

Okay, I contacted Bioware a couple of years ago before Mass Effect 3 was released with this idea, only to recieve the most depressing email ever saying that it was Bioware's policy to NOT accept any ideas from outside sources. I'm glad that they've changed that. Anyho, I think that the next Mass Effect can be just as epic and be of grand scale by narrowing the scale. We barely saw any of the Citadel, expand on this, and make the next game all about C-sec. All of the elements are there. Plenty of dialogue options as you collaborate with fellow C-Sec officers, track down leads, and arrest criminals, with the main storyline focusing on a terrorist plot to destroy the Citadel (maybe some racist humans feel that in order to secure human dominance, they have to eliminate the font of the council's power?) anyway, side missions could vary from your usual Bioware walk by somebody in distress and help them out to a unique ham radio system similar to what real cops use in order to call in criminal activity in progress and then you decide to respond to that call for assistance.  I bet Bioware could be really creative here. And the Citadel is freakin' HUGE, there are a lot of cool things that they could do with the different districts that comprise the Citadel. I would gladly buy that game, and then Bioware would be able to develop a unique story line that doesn't run the risk of marring what they've accomplished with original trilogy. Oh, and be sure to include more than 2 dialogue choices, life is comprised of more than Yes or No questions. Give us some grey areas. No doubt, I bet Bioware could take this idea and make it something truly great.

Another idea, they could do a prequel game focusing on the Rachni wars focusing on 2 plotlines. One plotline focuses on a Krogan character who is out fighting the Rachni (this is where players will experience the action part of the game) and the other plotline could focus on either a Turian or a Salarian (probably a Salarian) and the player would experience the more plot development part of the game as they deal with the ethical dilemma of creating the genophage. Haven't ironed out this one nearly as much as the C-Sec idea, but hey, simultaneous plotlines are catching on with the kids these days. Plus it would be nice to see Tuchanka before the Krogans bomb the **** out of it.

My idea for a game is set right at the end of Mass Effect 3.

On the edge of the galaxy there has been another project
taking place. The project is a last resort if the mission to destroy the
Reapers fails. Plans of the mission are hidden from those fighting in the front
lines. They don’t want them to know that they are making plans just in case
they fail.

Several alien races, including humans, are working together
to find a way to transport a ship to another galaxy to avoid destruction by the
Reapers. It is a way to allow the alien races to continue.

The ship could use one of the Mass Relays as a way to
transport it. The alien races could work to repurpose the relay to send a ship
to a nearby galaxy. It would be only one ship since the energy required to send
the ship that far would destroy the relay.

The ship is waiting at the relay to see what will happen as
forces work to place the Crucible with the Citadel and try to retake Earth.
Things look grim and they are prepared to take off.

Finally, as Commander Shepard makes his decision they see
the relays begin to be destroyed. Unsure what is going on, they are forced to
make a quick decision since the relays are exploding. They decide to take off.
Not everyone agrees with the decision.

The ship could be smaller with only a few dozen passengers
or something larger with thousands of passengers from all types of alien races.

They arrive in the new galaxy and meet the new race of
aliens. From there they begin to form their own alliances and try to build a
new life in a new galaxy.

The game could begin right when they arrive or it could
start by showing everything that happened to get the ship there, then jumping
several years into the future as the new “pilgrims” have begun to settle into
the new universe.

The narrative of the game could have something to do with
the Reapers. They could have a connection to this galaxy or you could create a
new type of villain. There could also be a subplot of some of the pilgrims
trying to find a way to return home while others are happy with their new lives
and believe there is nothing to go home to.

Creating a sequel to the ME trilogy will be tricky, considering the A, B, C choices of ME3.
It would be 3 different storyes depending on wich choice the player took, so i believe a prequel is more likely to be made.

I would love to play as Saren, Nihlus or Anderson, to see what happened before ME1.

Perhaps even a game where we play as the Illusive Man on his way to build up Cerberus, to give players a better view of who and what Cerberus is :)

I think that given the multiple endings of ME, any other game regarding the ME universe would have to be prequels, unless Bioware sets a canon storyline and move on from there. Anyway:

1) Past wars. A soldier of each race, with own campaign:

Human - First Contact War, on Shanxi, part of a guerilla force trying to resist the turians infantry with nothing but a few comrades and drones.

Turian - Krogan Rebellions, fighting to keep the krogans off the Turian's homeworld - it was said the krogans got real close to it.

Salarian and Asari - Krogan Rebellions/Rachni Wars (haven't ironed out this idea yet), the salarians campaign could have a heavy tech feature (lots of hacking, using drones) and the asari campaign have a lot of stealth.

2) Backgrounds (or between-game parts) of Shepard's squadmates and friends. Some of them have interesting tales, or there is the possibility of them having them, without compromising the trilogy.

Aria - would love to know her whole story

Garrus - when he worked at C-Sec he seems to have had a bunch of interesting cases - Dr. Heart, and the one where he claimed to defeat a batarian terrorist group in the Citadel. Or maybe when he was Archangel.

Liara - the beginnings of her "carrer" as information broker. This one would have problems due to Liara possibly having romanced Shepard in ME1.

Thane - when he was a professional assassin. His hunt for those who killed his wife.

Legion - his search for Shepard.

Zaeed and Kasumi also seem to have promising backgrounds.

Two years after the end of the Reaper War, the Galaxy looks much as it had before - only with less people and more rubble.

As Galactic Civilisation stuggles to rebuild, a new race of Synthetics emerges and threatens to destroy it all once more. To deal with this new type of Synthetic, the Council must recruit a new type of Spectre, with a new kind of attitude, and only one man is up to the job...

"I fractured my thumb on the mute button...and now I'm gonna kick your ass!"

You are Jeff "Joker" Moreau, a man who overcomes Brittle Bone Disease to become the third human Spectre - and the first one with a sense of humour or anything mildly interesting to say. In a touching tale of bravery and sarcasm, Joker sets out on a mission to save the Galaxy, but there are some surprises along the way...

"Daisy...Daisy, give me your answe..."

"EDI?!?"

"Jeff?!?"

With the help of some new friends

"So you're a talking...Varren?"

And some old ones...

"Joker."

"Wrex."

Can you guide Joker to victory?

MASS EFFECT 4

October 2013

(Please Note: May contain endings that are offensive to some players, mostly due to being poorly written and not befitting the tone of the story. Player Discretion is advised)

 Mass Effect: First Contact

As a lot of us know, Bioware are now using the Frostbite 2 engine, developed by Dice. The same engine that delivered the fantastic game of Battlefield 3 (ignoring the single player of course).
The First Contact War is the perfect setting for a Mass Effect themed first person shooter. In the single player you could play as someone Mass Effect fans already know, like David Anderson. First play through the N7 training programme and then go to Shanxi and fight turians and shizz, every mission bringing new challenges. Of course, with it being a prequel it would be difficult to implement interactive conversations and decisions but hey-ho. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Mass Effect Trilogy, I have 98 hours play time on the first game and yes, the Mass Effect 3 ending was bad but not THAT bad. I personally don't believe all Mass Effect games should be a rpg. If EA don't pressure Bioware too much to release a game too soon then Bioware have the potential to realease a great FPS, with great single player also.
Now, the multiplayer. There is the potential here to create some fantastic multiplayer gameplay. You either play as the Turian or Human team, Turians get weapons with that "shots before overheat" system (making sure they're not overpowered compared to human weapons) as thermal clips have not been developed yet. Humans get weapons with bullet ammunition or whatever weapons they used at the time. I recommend bullets. The maps can be in different places and terrains around Shanxi, maybe even in space! Man the turrets of cruisers and pilot fighters, that would be freakin' bad ass. There could be a bunch of different vehicles available for bigger maps, of course depending on what team you're on.
For soldier customisation, you could have different classes and change the colours and pattern of your armour. Like more expanded armour customisation that ME3 had in it's multiplayer. Unlock new guns by leveling up and unlock Turian guns for when playing as a human and the other way around.

I think this would make a great game. Thanks for reading.

Mass Effect Alternity. Set it far in the future and make it ambiguous as to how Shepard prevented the Reaper threat beyond uniting the galaxy. Have it so that the Reapers themselves did not show up but that they had more military focused servant races that destabilized the current cycle and that Shepard uncovered their plots and stopped them from reaching full strength. As each Reaper is an independent nation they can bring different resources into a cycle. There could be politics among the Reapers. Sovereign had to do what he did because it reflected his philosophy on how the current cycle should end. Harbinger is not the leader of the Reapers but had the influence to have control of the cycle given to him/her. The Collectors where Harbinger's method. Harbinger shifted his control to use Cerberus and other factions to reach his/her goals. Reapers could run separate cycles for hundreds of galaxies. From the Reaper's standpoint they are the shift from evolution of tool users to self manipulation and the next form of non-biological adaptation and evolution. A cycle or race in a cycle becomes a reaper in response to the threat or never at all. Galaxies might produce a Reaper level entity every few million years naturally. The Reapers don't see any value in sparing lesser races and would rather accelerate the process in different ways. Eventually the current cycle will choose to follow the path of becoming a Reaper level entity. It would be a great irony that Shepard's efforts to stop the Reapers from destroying the cycle creates a society that moves toward becoming what the Reapers are in unexpected ways.
There could also be additional levels to the relay system. Unlike the omega 4 relay that only had one destination and was obviously different from there would be an additional set of destinations locked in normal relays. It would be like the 8th and 9th chevrons in Stargate. A series of insulated mini cycles and experiments being run by the reapers. There would be interaction with species that are being preserved from previous cycles who don't know their real history or engineered for other purposes. There could even be the descendants of uplifted dinosaurs or anything else. There would also be higher functions for the citadel. travel to other galaxies should be possible and multi galaxy interaction could occur. some galaxies could have just finished their cycles and reached the next level like ours or have failed like the Prothians. Additional functions could link to some sort of spacial bubble created by the reapers that is separate from normal space and is only accessible by citadel type devices. A link back to dark energy and Haestrom. Without access to a citadel for a proper connection the reapers could use an object with sufficient mass that had been seeded with ezo to create a temporary wormhole through which they could pass. The affect could be what caused the unnatural solar cycle. It would also make for a great scene with a wormhole ripping a star apart as reapers or their servant races came out.
In truth Shepard was able to convince the other races that the Reapers are still a threat and overcame natural and Reaper induced conflicts. The location of the star the Reapers would try to come through was discovered and a unified galactic armada repelled the reaper forces long enough for the portal to destabilize and close on its own. The events of the final battle were kept secret so that if a similar incursion is attempted later the methods used to prevent it will not be easy for remaining Reaper forces to find. It is also a matter of general policy to keep the public in the dark as to the true nature of the threat and avoid a panic. Most would think of it as another war like the Rachni war.
The material known as Ezo has many more properties than initially observed. It is a form of strange matter that allows particles that normally do not interact with normal matter to do so and thus produce fields that alter the normal rules of the universe. The Ezo itself does not contain these properties but it instead acts as the medium for the interaction to occur. The mass effect fields are produced because a secondary particle is attached to the Ezo particle. Through experimentation it has been discovered that there are other types of particles that can be attached to ezo that will alter other forces. Matter anti matter reactions can be prevented, nuclear strong and weak forces can altered, and and many other effects have been observed.

Discovering other ways that the Reapers have been manipulating the galaxy and multicycle projects whose purpose was not apparent but far reaching affects that would make their presence known. Could have been a part where there are other stars that are behaving oddly due to dark energy. collect time and location for events to discover source. Find that the location is not accessible by relays. Realize that the Reaper IFF can give access to an additional layer of the relay network. Go to new locations and start exploring. Find pocket networks running asynchronous to the larger cycle. Get the impression that the galaxy is like a lab building with different rooms and projects. Have it that the Reapers gained access to our galaxy as a result of some experiment with new technology by the first race to be indoctrinated. The ships that we think of as the Reapers are just how they are able to interact with our galaxy. By the end of the third game the strengths and weaknesses of the Reapers would be understood. New technology that the Reapers were never expecting would be available. The manipulation of the Reapers and their more subtle proxies would be known and in the 4th game would have to overcome their plots to undermine the cycle and bring the reapers back into the galaxy.

Just make a retcon of ME3. Move on from Shepard. Take the most common choices players made from all 3 games and forget the three choice ending. Leave the Reapers as a defeated mystery. A slightly different timeline where that particular plot never came into being and is not the reason for the Reapers' behavior. You push back the arrival of the Reapers to the end of the story and lengthen the time frame so that the alliances had been formed and new technology had been researched that allowed this generation to repel or defeat the Reapers. Have a few generations later our cycle has technology that allows them to gain access to another layer of the relay network.
