NWCon6 is Nigh!

This years event is "The Doom and Gloom Dance Fiesta" and runs from Fri Sept 10 to Sun Sept 12.

This is a great opportunity to showcase your PW or MP mods to new players. Events are being scheduled through NeverwinterConnections.com. Most of you are already familiar with NeverwinterConnections, but if anyone needs any help getting set up just contact me at NWCon6@MarshallHomeWeb.com and I'll get your event on the schedule for you.

These events are very competitive. Attendence for some events last year were packed to capacity. Others only got one or two players. The difference is marketing, pure and simple. The best way to get sign-ups is to make your event something special. Get your best DMs to the plate, and create a good 2-3 hour adventure. Take the time to showcase your event on your event page, and then HYPE it. Get out there and make some noise!

I do understand. I'm only able to run one event myself because of a RL conflict. My wife has a birthday on the ninth, but she loves me all to bits so she let me had Sunday to spend with y'all. Thanks hun!

The Doom and Gloom Bard Competition



The House of the Harp (formerly the Fochlucan college) is having a competition to announce its new opening. There will be a competition judged by three well known Bards and Sages. The tales will be judged on several different key areas.

Competitors will be asked to perform two different pieces before a panel of judges, with the Silver Lady in attendance.

Competitors will be judged by a groups of judges. The scores will be averaged and the performer with the highest average score is the winner.

There is no theme for either piece and can be in any style the competitor chooses (the two pieces can, if fact, be the same format). The competition will take place in the newly opened House of the Harp following evening Court. Refreshment will be provided.

 
Grand Prize;
There will be a book (or two) in our module with your PCs name and songs/poetry. We also will upload this as a link to the Vault to be downloaded if they wish to have it there as well. If the player is someone who already plays here they will have free room and board at one of the College's Rooms. If it is a player from another server who wins we can make their PC into a NPC Teacher at the college.

The Crystal Keys Dilemma



Long ago, a great and powerful Lich forged fantastic magical artifacts. The Lich's fell magic was so powerful that even the gods feared to cross him. On a whim the Lich let loose these magical artifacts on Toril. They caused much havoc and destruction and the Lich was delighted and entertained. The two that caused the most destruction were...Crenshinibon the sentient crystal shard and the Gatekeeper's Crystals.

So with the passage of time the Lich has been forgotten but he has not forgotten....
