I recently bought the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins via Steam. I downloaded and installed it over last night and played it for two solid hours this morning afterward - and the game ran beautifully.

Upon booting up my computer today, however, I have discovered that the entire game seems to be broken, even when loading a previous save game.

Many items, and all NPC's, now bear 'code' names, such as pre100cr_wynne (as seen in the screenshot), and I have an inability to converse with every NPC because of it. There is simply no response when I click, and I cannot hold-click or anything on them. This includes party members and quest NPC's.

Upon entering an area that triggered a cutscene, the cutscene featured no vocals and no animation save for 'head bobbing'. In addition, I had no conversation options appearing.

I tried doing a search. Maybe my search wasn't generalized or specific enough, but I came up with no replies that seem similar to what I am encountering. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Forgot the screenshot!

I should also point out that this code naming also applies toward enemy Darkspawn NPC's as well, giving them designations such as pre100cr_bodyguard or something, etc.
