If by "small" you mean "short" (e.g. as in gamelength up to one hour only), I can give you the names of a few more recent storydriven mini-mods mostly consisting of conversations and a little roleplay (some of them very simple in design, others a bit more elaborate but all quite nice IMO):

Science Macabre by Tempered Moon
A Contrivance, a confession, a corpse by Malacola
Uncovered! by Armstrad Hero
Faith by Nasrudin

And if you don't mind (easy) puzzles and/or occasional combat and even linearity, I can also recommend
Ceremorphed by Ahmed Abdel-Meguid
A Thief in the Night by btowles
Falkner's Folly Pt. 1 by Kieron Scott

However, my all-time favorite of short story modules combining all of the above (although it might be a bit lower on RP than e.g. Science Macabre or Faith) would be The Sunken Shrine of Ahmenkatja by Jesse Sky. This is one of the best mini-mods I know because it's not only about conversations but also includes a little exploration, puzzles and combat, while telling a well-rounded short story, all in half an hour or so. Definitely worth a try.

I have to add my support for "Faith," "Uncovered," and the Sunken Shrine. I'm very picky with what modules I download for NWN, as there are so many. Even fewer actually get installed and played. But for short modules, these three were great.
