People seem to be forgetting the various spells that can create barriers and such around mages to protect them. Who's to say it can't stop a bullet, if only once.

Shepard vs Hawk (based on a rogue/warrior Hawke, since I don't do mages except to get achievements then I kill the mage) in the following categories:
Armor: Shepard
Long distance weapons: Shepard
In your face weapons: Depends on if Hawke can close the distance without dying and then stab Shepard before being killed, because a sword/axe beats Shepard's mele hit.

shepard has a laser gun so if he shoot hawke

hawke will just cast a shield then make those demonic hands appear which will then result into shepard being sliced in half

Even so, I think Shepard's ammunition supply trumps Mage Hawke's mana supply. Hawke mage can't keep a constant barrier, while Shep can keep up a near constant barrage should that barrier fall. He can even call on the Normandy to blast mage Hawke from orbit.

But its still obvious that he'd pwn Shepard. He has more health. Oh, and Hawke has an army of fangirls ready to take down everyone who gets in the way of their nutella fetish.

Depends entirely on the scenario and what class each of them are. I mean.. if Hawke uses his arm-ripping power, Shepard doesn't have a chance. Although Shepard with a height advantage would probably win, while if it's on fair ground it can be sort of.. balanced? Hawke would have the advantage in close range while Shepard has the ranged advantage.
