Well. Using magic to have your skin turn hard as rock / steel and then crushing him with giant hands would sort of making technology pointless.

1. The guns in mass effect kind of work around the rock/steel skin issue do they not? Changing the type of bullet being shot depending on what is being targeted?Dave of Canada wrote...

Don't really know. Haven't followed with the new bullet codex in ME2.
2. Pulling a trigger is faster then useing a spell.
Yet spells are a lot more dangerous and varied than a bullet.

Of course we all know that this is a moot point.
Bioware will make this epic conflict drag on until both Male!Hawke and Sheploo are down to their last ragged bits of clothes and slugging each other in the face in an extremely homoerotic way.
. . .
For the fans of course.

Exactly, the size of the round as well as type to calibrate for distance and target type. Oh and Dave remember I did say almost always... Shepard is fighting against Reapers whom have superior tech, but Shep has and will prevail.thegreateski wrote...

I seem to have caught R.H.S. ( Rubbish Hero Syndrome )
What i really meant what could could turning in a bug do when Shep can just use the Cain on Hawke. He can kiss his buggy ass goodbye

Because the cain has a "charge" time, giving bug swarm Hawke enough time to fly away!

If Shepard's ammo can tear through shields, barriers and modern-armors then it cen certainly tear-up some magical rock-skin-armor, no problem. Hawke doesn't stand a chance against guns such as the Widow sniper with AP-ammo or Disruptor-ammo. As soon as Shepard puls the trigger, the fight it over and Hawke is death. And if Shepard is smart, he'll keep at distance and kill that motherf- before he can draw his sword and get close of before he does some goofy magic.
And if you say "fist-fight only" then it's only fair Hawke isn't allowed to use magic, but only his fists like Shepard. And then Shepard would still win because he's a trained N7 commando with militairy disipline and Hawke just some rebel warrior dude.
