It looks 3d (done via Poser or DAZ3D) with some Photoshop postwork, especially the fur.

Actually, not a lot of people are put off by this. Some people still think he looks dashing. It was at an awkward angle, he was talking, and he is a dwarf. The tend to have a stronger, bulkier build. And he is supposed to be narrating ten years into the future, right? So that must be him when he was older. In the time that we play, he probably looks much younger, as he does have reddish brown hair in some of the concept art.

There is only one concept art pic of Verric and in it his hair is Grey His Hair is only redish brown in some of the fan art, wishful thinking perhaps

And i cannot remeber do Dwarves in Dragon Age Age like Humans or are they the typical Dwarves who live Hundreds of years?

his chest hair looks kinda short though
