If not join them, I would at least like to go in their lair and have a word with them. Do some quest for them or something.

The things I love about vampires is their nature, their hidden existence within their food(i.e., us), their secretive society [as evident in Blood Omen series(game), Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines(game), True Blood(especially from Season 2)]. Even Baldur's Gate 2 had vampires. NWN had Rakshasa.

The problem with these cannibals of DA is that they're not as cool as the above mentioned and they're possessed unwillingly! WTF? Within the scope of DA what I think would work is people willingly submitting themselves to the demon host to become this powerful cannibal and then the person and the host working together, in a symbiosis relationship . This way the cannibal will have a concrete identity and much more effective self-awareness than the - oh look I'm doing these sickeningly evil stuffs not because I'm evil but I'm possessed against my will - crap. And to be in closeness of their food they should live among humans, being disguised and having a secret society of their own.

And NO, in no ****ing way I'm a fan of the Twilight ****!

But with existing DA cannibals, the people are never in control of themselves but the she-demon hosts are. Demon is NOT EQUAL to Vampire.

Unless they managed to fit into the DA settings well, then no. If they were the kind of vampires that are so liked now - the ones that twinkle in sunlight - then no thanks.



I prefer the kind of vampire that's vicious, blood thirsty, explodes into dust when staked, burns up and turns to dust in sun light and is basically a creature of the night.

The only good vampire is the one going up into the hoover bag.

Vampires are so damn boring... I can't stand them. The only thing I liked about them in Morrowind was the number of them killed by me. In all other games, books or movies they just sucked.

I don't mind a game centered around Vampires (think Vampires: The Masquerade - Bloodlines), but I don't see any benefit of adding them to the Dragon Age. Their part is already covered by fade demons.

Wouldn't it be more ghouls than vampires then, though? If they plain eat you, i mean.

Sound like Vampires David Slade would direct. Oh wait, he's done a Twilight film now, gah.  

Random question: Is there any particular demon you find creepiest/most horrifying etc.?

Personally I might throw the Desire demon out there, sure they are best known for being scantily clad crazies with a thing for purple but watching 'Kitty' destroy the little girls soul was pretty awful to behold tbh.
