If not join them, I would at least like to go in their lair and have a word with them. Do some quest for them or something.

The things I love about vampires is their nature, their hidden existence within their food(i.e., us), their secretive society [as evident in Blood Omen series(game), Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines(game), True Blood(especially from Season 2)]. Even Baldur's Gate 2 had vampires. NWN had Rakshasa.

The problem with these cannibals of DA is that they're not as cool as the above mentioned and they're possessed unwillingly! WTF? Within the scope of DA what I think would work is people willingly submitting themselves to the demon host to become this powerful cannibal and then the person and the host working together, in a symbiosis relationship . This way the cannibal will have a concrete identity and much more effective self-awareness than the - oh look I'm doing these sickeningly evil stuffs not because I'm evil but I'm possessed against my will - crap. And to be in closeness of their food they should live among humans, being disguised and having a secret society of their own.

And NO, in no ****ing way I'm a fan of the Twilight ****!

But a vampire after being made starts acting like one. Like - I'm a vampire, I need to drink blood to survive. It retains a lot of its human intelligence.

But with existing DA cannibals, the people are never in control of themselves but the she-demon hosts are. Demon is NOT EQUAL to Vampire.

I'm not saying demons are mindless. All I'm saying is that demons' agenda and vampires' agenda are not the same. 

Demons are like devils. They don't care about us. They're just busy manipulating us.
