Yeah. I figured I'd get banned for it. Even if it was directed at myself.

Maybe somewhere in the 10 years your sister has a baby and is then being hunted down by the Templars for the child. So she comes to you for help. That would be interesting.

Hahah, I was the same with that mission in Fable 2.
And Hawke having a kid is an interesting concept that I wish would be made into the game. But, I doubt it can be because of what Dave of Canada said. There could be too many babyHawkes running around.

is that really a bad thing?

How's Hawke gonna pay for all the child support?
But, an army of Hawke's kids would be unstoppable. Hm.

well Hawke Is the champion of Kirkwall, im sure by the end of the game he will have alot of money

I'd see a lot of abuse with this. Sleeping with a romance option, get her pregnant then dump her and go with somebody else. Repeat until every female romance has your child.

The real reason Cassandra is looking for Hawke is because he disappeared and stopped paying child support.

That's what happens when you ask Oghren for romantic advice.

This is the only reason why I would hope he'd be a companion for a 3rd go - he can shamelessly hit on Beth.

Impossible. My sister will never have sex. And if she does, I don't want to know about it. Just like in real life.

Well, the story does span ten years, so in one of the years we might jump, lady Hawke has a wee baby!

Waste of sperm? Well what else are you going to spend it on? In fact, don't answer that. I think the social network has met it's quota for creepy in the past few days.

Sperm donation banks.

Look interesting, I guess. However, I can picture a woman having Hawke's baby when he's in a adventure, but what if this woman is a party member or if the player is using Lady Hawke?

Also, I'm starting to think that nobody in Dragon Age universe get pregnant and everybody is Flemeth son.

The way I  envision that being handled is just them pulling a standard frame narrative trick. I doubt the player will experience the entire ten years; the scope of that is too huge. There would need to be a convenient gap of about a year, the blanks of which could be filled in by Varrick.

there will be times of "peace" for Hawke within those 10 years were we do not play or expirence.

on a side note, that makes for a great deal of DLC to put in those ten years.Posted Image

I though they paid more for harvesting eggs because it was more invasive?

On topic. I wouldn't mind having a child as long as I don't have to take care of it. I always had children in Fable 3 and just reloaded. That's why I find it so funny that my hero had children that are the stars of Fable 3 when I personally didn't have any.

You can only sleep with one person in ME, so Bioware could easily duplicate that. If you choose to have no romance, then Bethany gets kidnapped/killed/whatever. With a 10-year span, a gap of two years isn't out of the question, and in that time period Hawke and LI could have a child. The key part is that you only get one LI for that two years and that the two years are the only chance to have a child.

Collecting and storing sperm is easy. Eggs are a hassle. I read it in the newspaper... It's kinda sad really. The guys can go about their merry way after donating while the girls suffer 101 health and mental consequences.

Back on topic (sorta), the PC does not have protection... Grey Wardens have trouble reproducing while Hawke is just human. So yeah, unless you're gonna get it on with dwarves, there should be chance at pregnancy, unless somebody invented ancient Pill/Condoms...

Coitus Interruptus (Also known as "pulling out")

And yeah, "conception is difficult for a single Grey Warden parent"...

I am guessing we are discussing sex-ed now??

On-topic, I wonder what my Varric/LadyHawke baby would look like ^_^ Half-dwarves are rare, so yeah...

The very notion of Children being had between Hawke -male/female- and thier respective love interest and all the possible plot and smaller story potential is just staggering. It's been mentioned by Mr. Laidlaw that one of the most important aspects of Hawke's overall journey to Champion/Tyrant of Kirkwall is Family, and all the pros and cons that come with it.

In the beginning we have Hawke's Parent and Siblings; later, that dynamic could very well grow to encompass Hawke becomming a Parent him/herself. I find I rather love the idea of imparting to your child or children all the knowledge you have gained over the course of 10 years; raising them to be either great Champions of Virtue, or Pillars of Tyrany and Power. Also, seeing your LI react to how your family is cared for could also open so many doors story wise. There is simply so much that can be done within the realm of Family drama. (Shakes head) My mind is just buzzing with what BioWare might choose to present us.

Totally agreed. As long as it doesn't come in the form of Fable 2's urgent "Your wife wants sex" messages mid dungeon.

I don't know... I just can't see it happening. I totally agree that it would make the game a complete other level of epic, but I just think it would leave to many loose ends. Considering the all the people who wont even pursue a LI, having to add all the extra scenes dialog for EVERY LI, and not to mention that It would make it seriously hard for those of us playing Lady Hawke to do any major ass kicking with a big preggo belly strapped to her middle.
If it did happen somehow I would be completely psyched, but the chances of it are pretty... meh.
