why do you want hawke to have a kid?
it's like the fan girls asking bioware for warden and Alistair to have children...
why the heck do you want to complicate things and turn it into a dating sim?
if you want to play happy families may I point out Ea made a game called the sims

Because it's an RPG and children would add more to the role playing?

daddy dave can i have a cookie?...pwetty pwease?
hows that for rpg gwash!

ok it might give a bit more deapth to the game but it to me just make things complicated, even more so if the hawke is female i dont know if bioware could pull it off

the story spans over 10 years of hawke's life, 7 to 9 months of pregnancy could be made in one of the time skips.

ps: you are not obligated to have a child you know.

Last time I RPG'd having a kid, it was a table top game. I gave a love potion to the LG Cavalier in our party and then sold him the kid for 1000G. I was kind of evil in the play through, but our group still talks about the incident.

well. for awakening  the king/queen of ferelden (allistair in this case) has more matters to attend to, however sending the hero of ferelden, a grey warden mind you to clear the land of amaranthine of darkspawn and reorganize the grey warden order in vigil's keep is a not only a smart move but a great way to improve moral on the land even though you might be a chancellor. first and foremost you are a warden.

Even if there were no timeskips, there's always adoption. Probably loads of orphans in Ferelden by now. Plus, mentoring a kid that's age 6 or older throughout the game's ten years might be more rewarding (ending at age 16+ instead of 9-).

Odd thought: Imagine adopting this poor kid you save from some monsters and then finding out it's Morrigan's god baby.

I like the idea of Hawke having children, but I think it would be too difficult with a female and a male Hawke with several(hopefully) LI's each.
I think there is a much higher possibility that Bethany will get a child, and we will have an influence on it.

Yes, there is always the adoption option..I didn't think of that :)

even letting your high approval friends to teach your child some skills or to learn about their culture could be very informative, funny and heartwarming.
