Just wondering after seeing the trailer. I also wonder if Hawke being able to channel magic from his blood makes him sort of a "witcher", having a mixture of magical and fighter abilities at once.

Blood Mage more than anything. Not a witcher.

God do I hate the Witcher. Game wanted me to grind up a whole level on spectral dogs to put points into alchemy to advance the plot. I never picked it up again.

I like Geralt's voice, but I've never played the game.

So, for the sake of the sexyness, Hawke wins.

That depends which Geralt you're talking about. You're pitting two of them against each other.

Geralt of Rivia has some great finishing moves. Unless Hawke can do better, I'm going with Geralt. Plus the CGI swordplay in the ending cinematic of The Witcher was awesome, compared to the lame Qunari fight.

Hawke could just pull Geralt's hair and whip him around that way until he's unconscious.

Lots of vs. threads for a protagonist in a game that hasn't come out yet.

As much as I liked Geralt, I may have to go w/ Hawke. I mean, the magic in the DA setting seems more 'powerful' than the Witcher setting: stuff like storm of the century and that 'demonic arms' thingy from the recent trailer are good examples.
What's the most powerful feat of magic shown in 'The Witcher'? Teleportation? The signs used by Geralt? The Triss' shield thingy in the recent gameplay trailer? Wish-based magic in 'The Last Wish'? (ok, that one, I think, was rather powerful...but I don't think it's 'combat magic' lol)

No Magic? I'd go with Geralt. :D

Beats 'complaints' threads, IMHO

How so? I for one would like to watch that fight...(as long as it escalates! First Hawke vs. Geralt, then the mages, say Bethany and Triss, intervene, then the 'rest of the cast', whoever they may be, join in the 'fun'  )

^Somebody call Capcom. Sounds right up their alley.

And Triss kicks serious ass.  If you've seen her fire magic in TW2, she'd probably school both Hawks and Geralt.

Lady Hawke would definitely easily defeat Geralt - he'd be too busy fantasizing about how she'd look as a cheap trading card to focus on the battle lol

Gotta love the internet!

Try geting past tutorial next time!

Your complaint is like me complaining I had to start in a castle as a noble in DA:O.

Damn Bioware, wanted me to grind a whole level on Howes men!

Only on women.

The only men who should have ponytails are high school art teachers and grad school mathematics students.
