I just installed a second HDD in the laptop on which I play DA:O and am curious if I can possibly move the install or if I'd have to re-install. IF I have to resinstall (which is no big deal), how can I ensure that I don't lose my progress/profile/etc? I'm not sure how DA:O handles the DLC or profile data in the event of a reinstall...
Any advice guys?
@Bioware, is there a recommended way to do this?
Correct/Best way to move an DA:O install between hard drives?

If you're installing on the same computer just different HD then you just need to uninstall the one you have on the old drive. make sure you tell it to keep your saves. If you're paranoid you can backup the contents of users/yourname/documents/bioware/dragon age/characters
Then just reinstall to the other drive. Note however you may very well lose your achievements if you haven't been playing logged in to the bioware site.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Yep, it's the same box, just a second HDD. My first instinct was to simply uninstall/reinstall, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to re-download my DLC without having to re-buy it, since I'm not totally sure how they're working the DLC in regards to re-installs. As far as achievements, I'm set to auto-login, so I should be good, yeah?

It's actually quite easy to move all of your save files, settings, DLC, etc. to another installation of DA.
Look in "My Documents" in XP or Username->Documents on Vista, you should see a folder called "BioWare". This contains all of your saves, settings, and DLC. Make a copy of this folder somewhere (like a flash drive or external drive). It's quite large (about 800MB on my computer) so make sure you have enough room for it.
Next, install DA on the other hard drive. Once the installation is finished, delete the BioWare folder it creates in My Documents and replace it with the BioWare folder you've copied from the previous install.
I play DA on two computers, my desktop and my laptop, and I move everything between them in this way. I haven't had any problems with it yet.
A note to others:
If you're transferring the folder between two computers that have different settings (like resolution, details, etc.) then don't overwrite the following files in My Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings\\\\
DragonAge.ini - Contains many of the games settings, such as resolution, detail levels, etc. However, it also stores the name of the last game saved (for the "Resume" function). You will need to load your game through the load menu.
DAOriginsConfig.ini - Contains window position setting.
However, if the graphics configuration is the same on both computers, you can safely overwrite these files each time you transfer. I use this method to move my saved files between my desktop and laptop. I downloaded the DLC on my desktop only, but it also shows on the laptop.
