I haven't tried that, but I still find it stupid that BW wants her to survive.. heck, why is it harder to kill of a specific character then actually saving them? After all its called a suicide mission..
The first thing I wanted to do when I first was playing the last mission of the game, was to send Miranda into the ventilation shaft,, but no, appearenly shes the only character that you can't chose for no reason what so ever.. And its not like she couldn't do the job, because the game allowes you to send in pretty much every other single character even if the job doesn't fit them..

I simply don't like her character.. The first thing she does when you meet her is to kill some guy.. yeah, he was a bad guy but so what? Sure I got used to her over the course of those 40 hours, but I simply find it silly that killing her is actually harder then saving her.. (suicide mission... anyone?)Marzillius wrote...
Why do you want to kill Miranda? She is one of the most useful squadmembers with her health (and damage?) buff.
I just foudn it stupid that BW made her so special, why not treat all the squad the same way? Just because you have plans for her?

It's really not that hard to kill her off, just make sure she isn't loyal and have her commanding the squad during the second fire fight if your that way inclined to get her killed...
Actually, she'll survive that, even if she's not loyal...talk about plot armor...

My favorite character is the hardest to kill. It's all quite delightful to me. Sunshine and rainbows and oh, look, a unicorn!
But for those who really want her dead, as inexplicable as the sentiment is to me: don't do her loyalty mission or lose her loyalty by siding with Jack, then take her with you to the final fight. That will do it.
I like that she's being discussed moreElyvern wrote...

Sorry for that, but I started using the spoiler forum today so I haven't really seen any of those Miranda topics..Elyvern wrote...

Its not exactly like I would wanna kill her (going to do that in another playthrough), but the whole idea of her actually having bigger chances of surviging it.. I obviously wanted to do all possible missions that there were including all of the loyality missions.. and if you do that then it really seems like she would be the only one that has the highest chances of surviving this suicide mission.. (besides Shepard)
I just dislike the idea of actually having to "work" only to kill a certain character.. and that BW made her so special..
[edit] Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if BW would bring back Miranda in ME3 despite her actually dieing in ME2..

You are right. If she's loyal and Shepard survives, it is downright impossible for her to die.
That said, i wouldn't exactly say she has plotarmor that extends to ME3. So far the only viable explanation is she needs to be alive until the very end of the suicide mission because she has to feed you lines on who to choose for which tasks. It's possible that BW needs her for ME3, but we don't know that.
And having her die and come back for ME3 would be really ridiculous, almost as bad as seeing her getting carried away by seeker swarms and then miraculously reappearing beside you at the end of the sequence.

In fact a problem with NG+ and that it doesn't carry over Paragon/Renegade made it extremely easy in my third playthrough.

Am I the only one who seems to think that BW loves Miranda or wants her to be in the third game? Because the only way to kill her would either to lose half/all of your squad or by trying this:

I think Miranda's plot armor only exists so she can direct Shepard during the suicide mission. It has nothing to do with saving her for Mass Effect 3. After she's spoken all her dialogue, she dies as easily as any one else. Bioware should have had other squad members or even Shepard provide that dialogue in case she was killed.

Yeah she is. From Australia, judging by her accent.

You know I hadn't thought of that. That's a possibility.
