I know this is not the right section, but I've already posted in the technical section and no one has been able to help, so I put is also here to see if you, wizards of the toolset, can help me.
When I load my toolset, it loads, but immediately, as soon as I click whatever point of it, it freezes and I can just kill the process.
I installed DirectX9.0c from the DVD game, but nothing happened (by the way, I am working on Win7, pro, 64bit, updated and my gpu, ATI5870 VaporX is updated too). I am going to check if .NET is out of date. Any other idea, please?
I also had problem with the crafting in game plus whatever mod (I tried 2) I installed for changing item appearances doesn't work. Or better, I can see it in the game menu, but if I click on it, nothing happens (while other mods work perfectly).
Thanks for any suggestion

Load the .netfx64exe file as a guess. You should be able to do it from the Prereqs Folder on the NWN2 disc (OC). That might make things work a bit better. Other than .net compliance (and features activations) the only other hindrance to the toolset operating is usually DX9.0c (which also is on the disc.)

I am not sure to have understood what you have said. Could you explain, please, with some more details?

Yes in the file folder marked Prereqs on your orginal NWN2 DVD, there is a .net64fx.exe file. This can be launched on it's own or you can run the WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86 file and select it I believe. In either case, this is for 64bit operating systems and with your 64bit machine, I am presuming this is part of your issue. Give it a try and if that doesn't work, go here:
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64) which is probably a slightly newer version than what's on the disc. Try that. Win7 comes with a higher level of .net framework and this may only irritate your system to tell you that's too old and it doesn't wanna do it. However, from the Microsoft site where that comes from, you might be able to get something newer with a little searching.
Additionally, it has been noted from time to time from other posters, that reinstalling (or attempting to) the .Net Framework (which the toolset MUST have to run) seems to correct this issue. There have been indications that doing this apparently activates functions the toolset needs to have that a standard installation prior to installing the Game doesn't seem to activate. This varies with the machine and it's hardware, peripherals and firmware in all liklihood.
You need merely activate the file to get it to start and then do your best to follow the directions from there. If this is still confusing to you, just post your questions and I'll do my best to scoot you forward.

You deserve a big hug! As soon as my hardware will be again functioning, I'll try that. Thank you!
But stay tuned for news, in case the problem would not get solved! ;-)

Well, I am afraid you will have to wait a lot. The shop is finally open and they told me my hardware could need up to 40 days to be changed. I am so TOTALLY ANGRY!!!

My new computer, almost 2 months old, has a problem with the gpu. Obviously a fabric defect. The problem is that the gpu is the only piece I haven't bought in my usual shop but on line. And now, the on line shop is creating a lot of problem for changing a piece under warranty. I am SO angry you can't just imagine it!
