Is there any kind of getting started guide for this thing?
Video, whatever, something that covers the minimum at least?

Hi there. I remember you from the NWN2 community, welcome aboard and I hope you stay around and give us something we'd enjoy playing. A good start is the toolset wiki, you'll find there instructions and tutorials (be sure to check the external tutorial section for some video tutorials) to get you started:

www.youtube.com/results
There are a lot of toolset video tutorials on this results list- I found dragonage22's video tutorials particularly helpful. Good luck!

Yes my NWN2 big campaign is in final testing and voice over recording as we speak.
Well im doing pretty good on the wiki so I will just ask one question I cant yet find.
How do I make it run for a test run from the toolset?

Test your module that you have worked on in the toolset in game?
You need to 'export' it.

After exporting, start the client and select your module from Other Campaigns. There is no "test" button in the toolset, but you can leave the client running and tab to it when required.

Ya that kind of reads like a bunch of gobeledy goop to me.
I tried export with resources or whatever, and my 2nd area kept being black in game till I finally got lucky.
What is it I exactly did or can do to make sure the area works? This exporting stuff doesnt even seem intuitive... am I doing this area by area every time I change an area or what? Is there no full export option I can use (even if its 20 minutes of processing) to just export all areas in the module?
Thanks

What I do is typically place all my work under a folder and then, go to the ALL selection in the palette (the last selection option), select the folder and export without dependencies.

Anything you create using File -> New is your work. Each of those creations belong to a module - if you haven't created one, you are either working in the Demo module or the Single Player module (latter not recommended).
Whenever you create a new resource, you can specify a path where the resource should be saved and this is the folder structure.
Lastly, I think you are still working with the level editor (based on your other thread), so you will have to do the following -
- Render Lightmaps (you should have a light placed in the level, at least an ambient light)
- Do all local posts.
After this, it should be available in the area layout list when you create a new area.

Coming from a NWN2 background, it will take some time before you can adapt to the DA toolset because certain things work very differently - level/area and lighting being the most obvious things when you start learning this toolset.
