I will be extremely disappointed if Legion does continue on in Shepard's squad in ME3...Legion has such awesome dialoge and watching him evolve and question is fascinating, I feel like we only get to touch the tip of the iceberg with him in ME2...and I love the way he gets Shepard to re-think his views...whoever wrote Legions dialoge did an amazing job...there is so much more to explore with Legion...plus he is brilliant with the Widow in a fight, I save all the planetary side quests, Overlord and the Shadowbroker until after the suicide mission just to take Legion with me.

Whenever he talks about reapers ('the old gods') he seems to regard them with indifference. What sort of (emotions?) do you think he feels about the reapers? We know he shares Shepards aim to destroy the reapers but that is about it...

Personally I don't think Legion knows what emotions are at this point, but I do wonder if he is evolving towards becoming an emotional being, given his reaction to and why he is wearing Shepards armor...the 'no data available' I think means Legion doesn't understand himself why he used Sheps armor....I am wondering if his choosing Sheps armor is an emotional decision.

And Legion does claim that geth have no emotions, but it is evident due to the conversations with him and his dialogue that he is developing emotions, although he may not recognise them as such.

It is clear that geth evolve due to the nature of their interlinked platforms, meaning that they can all share their experiences and knowledge. So I came to the conclusion that they must be diverse, and must have different opinions on the reapers.

Of course, the geth on Legion's platform would have that emoticon used to describe their feelings towards the reapers!

I think the geth are learning to experience something akin to emotions the more they interact with organics. I don't think it's the same as having emotions exactly, but more that they're learning that in order to relate with organics on a more day-to-day basis, they need to exibit emotional responses so that organics can better understand them.

Hmmm. I like that theory So all of Legion's sharp wit and humour is to communicate better with organics, I like how you think Legion!

Do you think that the geth are entirely synthetic then? Or do you think they may have evolved due to sharing their platforms and data?

I think that if they continue like this, and geth other than Legion (because he was specifically designed to interact with other species) will start to interact with organics more, then they may begin to gain fully fledged emotions.
I bet the quarians would be freaked out by that!
