Well, she's only the Shadow Broker if you purchased LotSB and played it through...which makes me wonder if Liara will be a squadmate only if you did NOT play out LotSB. I totally agree; why would Liara decide to stop being the Shadow Broker to fight alongside Shepard again? Even if she didn't decide to stop, does it make sense that the most important information broker in all the galaxy would put her existence at risk to show her allegiance to Shepard!?
Anyway...yeah, not happy about the decision regarding Legion. He was a solid squad member; he helped guarantee my entire squad's survival in my Paragon play-through. Plus, the story potential with him was nearly limitless. Being relegated to a walk-on role just seems cheap and wasteful.

Since LotSB is a 'bridging content' we're safe to assume that the events of the DLC took place no matter whether we played it or not. But hell, what was the point in making her a SB if she's going to abandon this role in ME3?

Not to further hijack a Legion thread by talking about Liara, but even taking to consideration the dire situation the galaxy will be in, with Reapers descending upon it in all-out warfare, Liara's position as the Shadow Broker would be more valuable than ever, as she'd be able to keep the lines of communication on the front lines moving. Taking her out of that equation and putting her onto the frontlines would be the the most foolish thing to do.
Yet, there we have it; Liara's a squadmate again, and Legion gets moved to the sidelines. Dumb, dumb, and more dumb.

Well, there's a default Shepherd for ME2 that doesn't do thing too well (Wrex dead, council dead, Udina supreme ruler of galaxy, the list goes on) there is a strong possibility that GI was using "default" Shepherd that likely sold Legion to Cerberus (seems like the kind of bone- headed move default would do). I'm going to just assume that because best I can tell Legion has no reason to leave, unless the geth finish the Dyson sphere or if Legion's platform becomes an ambassador for a quarian-geth alliance..

Also, that article you cite up top isn't necessarily accurate.
The GI article specifically said "voices/people we saw or heard but cannot confirm if they are playable or not" when they listed Legion, Mordin, and Wrex.

How is it that a set of buzzes and clicks emotes so well? I hope Legion's at least around as a temporary squadmate if not a full-time one. Legion is my favorite Mass Effect character, and one of my favorite video game characters overall (though GLaDOS's...ah...new form in Portal 2 is giving him a run for his artificial money ATM

I don't know why I've never posted in here. Legion is one of my fave squadmates. Either #2 or #3 depending on how the wind blows. Allow me to add my voice to those hoping he returns in a big way.
