Hope he gets his armor repaired for ME3.
(Colossus had a self-repair protocol.... you'd think Legion would also)

You notice something about all those names? They're all romanceable. If Mass Effect didn't have romance plots it wouldn't be nearly as successful, which is sad since it's such a good series. Characters like Mordin and Legion will never be as popular. It's kinda stupid if you think about it. As for Manshep, I think it's mostly because of the largely female fanbase (hence Garrus' popularity).Mesina2 wrote...
Plus every topic that is related to Legion is either discussed on some newly created thread or in Tali thread.
Legion is popular but he isn't as popular like Garrus, Tali, Liara and Miranda.
He's like Mordin popular.
Almost everyone likes him but not much discussed or made in fan-arts. Kinda have to say for ManShep as well.

You know, bro4life.
Also Wrex was very popular in old forums, at least I believe he was.

Legion on Quarian flotilla in ME3.
That really the Quarian flotilla? Its also the start screen (you can tell by the coloring of the room, white ridges up top (though you cant really make them out), and the window), so it just seems a bit weird. I also remember seeing a Salarian and Quarian in the same room during a trailer. People reffered to the as diplomats or representatives, so it might be a gathering place.

I think the hologram in the middle might be what you're inside, like how the Normandy CIC has a hologram of the Normandy when you're not at the Galaxy Map. If so, it cant be the flotilla, since the shape doesn't fit:

I remember in the lead up to ME2 there was loads of speculation about a possible Geth squadmate, in part because of the first teaser but also just because we BioWare fans always want a companion of every race.

I loved bringing him to recruit Tali and bringing him on the flotilla! XD Given how many places he has dialog (even on Omega) it seems as if in the earlier builds of this game you could get him fairly early.Shame they didn't allow that in the final build.

According to the law of evolution, emotions will have been written into DNA as it has provided a benefit to organic species (in general), for example, as an aid to learning, or helping your siblings to succeed because you have an emotional attachment to them and dont see them purely as competition (altruistic behaviour). You are effectively helping your genes succeed to subsequent generations. This process is performed through reproduction. In the absence of reproduction, it does make you wonder how a 'species' such as the Geth, which has no reproduction, will evolve over time. They are a collective conciousness, so their 'individuality' is less important. A possible similarity, is that they will turn out like a colony or bees or ants, capable self sacrifice to keep the hive mind in existence.
Thoughts?
My thoughts are that, because the Geth are sentient, they can modify their own code, therefore controling their own evolution. I think it would be probable that they are curious about emotions and have tried, or are trying to simulate them. Weather or not they are able to feel emotions in the same way we are is debatable, but it's obvious that Legion at least has some kind of non-logical (non-machine like) motives, eg the armor.
If the Geth have all their trillions of programs uploaded into one single structure, and it only takes 1000 to have a sentient-ish creature capable of intelligent thinking, the sheer hacking and processing power of them would be enormous. It wouldn't be too far fetched to think that they might start experiencing and acting upon things that used to be exclusive to organics. Perhaps this 'evolution' if you can call it that, would help in convincing the Quarians towards peace.
I always like to refer to one of my favorite movie quotes when dealing with the geth discussion.
Ever since the first computers, there have always been ghosts in the machine. Random segments of code that have grouped together to form unexpected protocols. Unanticipated, these free radicals engender questions of free will, creativity, and even the nature of what we might call the soul. Why is it that when some robots are left in darkness, they will seek out the light? Why is it that when robots are stored in an empty space, they will group together, rather than stand alone? How do we explain this behavior? Random segments of code? Or is it something more? When does a perceptual schematic become consciousness? When does a difference engine become the search for truth? When does a personality simulation become the bitter mote... of a soul?
