It bugs the hell out of me how stingy and underwhelming container drops are. If anyone who's into the toolset feels the same, the following are my thoughts on the matter.
Plants: Should drop 1-4 ingredients. (Spiders, incidentally, should drop 1-2 toxin extracts, most species have 2+ venom glands).
Locked Chests: Need some serious love. Ohhhh, a locked chest with...one mushroom in it. Yay. Increase the ammount for ingredients, consumables, vendor trash, repeatable non-specific gifts, etc.
Containers in general: Seriously, this one item business is kinda lame.
Example:
-I find a Wooden Crate:
Currently- Oh joy, a Mushroom.
Better- I found 3 Mushrooms, 2 Elfroot and 4 Glass Vials. Nice!
Example 2:
-I find a Locked Chest
Currently- Wow, one whole Vellum.
Better- A couple of consumables, some ingredients, maybe a chance for a piece of gear or stone and some vendor trash.
Vendor Trash- Totally worthless; I sell 20 Wolf Pelts, 15 Vellum and 5 Quartz...and I can -almost- afford one Lyrium Potion. Prices for vendor trash need to be boosted, substantially. Particularly gemstones. I havent figured out if theyre used for anything yet, but seriously, 9s a pop is just weak.
Give the loot some love!
P.S. It occurs to me that loot tables may be static and non-dynamic, in which case just table(s) beefed up across the board would be peachy. Not for gear though, just everything else.
