There's no doubt the vanguard is better in most situations with a shotgun, but I think the adept can be just as efficient in certain missions. Singularity, Warp, Reave--these powers make the adept an absolute beast! Don't believe me? I present to you exhibit A:

What do you mean more powerful? The two classes play so differently that any kind of objective comparison is not possible. The fun factor is the most important and it is subjective.
For example Sentinel with Assault Armor and shotgun would take less health damage (most likely none) than your Adept, but does it make Sentinel more powerful? Vanguard/Sentinel does not need to take cover nearly as much as you did in your video. Really different classes.

Ya, i guess the title needs to be modified. Just meant that an adept with a shotgun is very viable. Not hating on the vanguard

You'd be better off with Barrier over Reave since you seem to be using Reave defensively.

Aye, Barrier would be a better choice, especially since using a shotgun means exposing yourself to a little more enemy fire. Also, I think the Geth shotgun from the DLC would suit you better.

Very nice vid, always good to see someone using shotty with Adept. I recommend taking Heavy Barrier instead of Reave (though you use it well to stay alive). Here's how I played Thane's recruitment mission using Heavy Barrier and the Vindicator with my Adept : Asari Commando Shepard - Dantius Towers
Your vid shows how versatile the Adept can be - you play rather different than I do, but very effective. I really hope that 'exhibit A' means there'll be an B, C and more. Keep 'm comming
