On a side note what is it with chavs and vests? I never see anyone else under 50 wearing them especially white ones.

By "home photos" do you mean photos you took with a telescopic camera from some bushes?
Only Bruce Willis should be allowed to wear vests. Its one of the laws of the universe.

Very true they don't tend to survive in foreign locations. Except some parts of Spain, Greece and mainly Ibiza but only for short spells before returning home to top up their fake tans because the real stuff just doesn't glow in the dark quite like boots' discount brand.Darthnemesis2 wrote...
Chavs are the reason I would never want to live in England again, we don't really have anyone that annoying in the good ol' US of A. Except for the previously mentioned redneck wiggers, but they're more embarrassing than anything else.

Yes but the kind that would mainly be worn as some form of undergarment. Around here its a chav specialty usually to show off their tattoos and bling it seems.Darthnemesis2 wrote...
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that by 'vest' you mean tank top/muscle shirt/sleeveless shirt and not a sweater vest?
Im not actually sure what a sweater vest is. Is it like a knitted kinda thing that gets worn over a tshirt? If so then I have seen chavs wear them but it doesn't seem to be a staple of their uniformity.
EDIT: Ah yes your pics just about sum it up. Although the vest usually is alot skimpier than that pic, somehow.

You haven't seen a chav until you've seen a Geordie chav (and up here we call them "Charvs")Druss99 wrote...

If you ever meet one, prepare for words such as "Whew (whoa)" "Lerk (like)" "He-ah Man (gibberish)" "divnt (don't)". I think there is a Geordie dictionary in stores. I might buy one

We should do a chav exchange program. Swap some Irish ones for Geordie. Thing is though ours can't actually be translated back into english they just make words up I swear to god they spent years randomly substituting words and replacing them with the word "sham". 3 of them played football with us we had to sack 2 of them cause we didn't know what in the hell they were on about.JRCHOharry wrote...

An example being "Hi sham stick it in the sham!!" the what? The box? The corner? The net? You can see the problems when we try to interact with them. Its hard when you see someone you used to know is now a chav.

I don't know if the Irish Chav would survive in Newcastle and vice versa. Anyone who moves up here who is a chav is an outcast... unwelcome among his new crew. It's like watching Springwatch and seeing the animals reject newcomers (we'll call this show Crimewatch!). When I was in school, all the chavs would come up with 'nicknames' to give everyone, including themselves, and whoever made a nuisance in class or bothered a 'fellow chav' would get hurled with horrible nicknames! My cousin is becoming a chav, seeing him now with his dyed blonde hair and ridiculously baggy trousers isn't easy. Especially because I was his best friend <_<
