After ME3 Bioware needs to make future ME games as FPS with online.  America's and the rest of the world's future would be worse off because young kids will be addicted to the game and cant concentrate on school but it would be worth it.

As long as it maintains RPG Elements, I don't care...

People here are violently anti-FPS for some reason, but not all FPS games have to be Fratcore killfests.

Fallout 3 & Deus Ex were FPS/RPGs, and those were great.

FPS. With online. Are you serious? You mean: I want them make something that has nothing to do with ME at all exept the name? Yeah, sure that always works, let's add a racing mini game with mushroom powerups while we're at it.

Nah, I hope ME stays with the ME style. Its unique, not TPS, not RPG, not cinematic interactive movie, its all three bundled very nicely together and very well done so nope I hope they stay with what they have made.

I always wondered what it'd be like playing in First Person, using iron sights and stuff. To be honest the mechanics would be near identical. I don't see why it wouldn't work at all. The skills, abilities, even weapons could all work in first person.

Some kind of FPS Mass Effect would be awesome.

I don't mind fps elements if they keep the rest same, but I'm against anything that says multiplayer and ME in same package. Bioware should stick on what they do best and that's stories, singleplayer stories.

I don't mind FPS, but that's not what Mass Effect is. It's a third person rpg. Bioware would do well to stick with what they know rather than joining the ranks of dumb and dumber with their first person crap.

Oh good. JUST what we need. Another shooter. Because there are so few of them. /eyeroll.

It would feel like a ME game except it's a FPS. That would be the funnest game ever.

Ya maybe, if they do it right, and everything is the same except you shoot from a FP instead of TP. It might work. But for ME3 noooooooooooooo. If after ME3 maybe, who knows

Fallout  3??? Where you could freeze the game, choose where to shoot, how many times, and the watch it occur in Slow Motion, succes or failure totally depending on your characters skill, rather than your own? I've never played Deus Ex, but there was nothing FPS about Fallout 3 in the PC-version anyway, and thank you for that, Bethesda.

I think that they should give Treyarch permission to make a Call of Duty game based in the Mass Effect universe.

You could play a few levels as an Alliance corporal, a few levels as a Solarian spy, and a few as a Turian general or whatever.

V.A.T.S. doesn't change the fact that the game is first person and uses guns as the main method of combat.

Mass Effect's combat could work pretty well as an FPS, it would just need to replace the cover system with leaning and whatnot. It shouldn't involve multiplayer because it would draw resources away from the singleplayer, but as far as combat goes, being able to shift to first person could work very well. It would allow for much greater variety between weapons and whatnot, although allowing a shift to third-person could be necessary for pausing and giving orders.

Shooters are not the consistent low-end bull**** that they're stereotyped as on this forum. Some are poor, just like with any genre, but all the same? Not even close. The question is merely whether Mass Effect is compatible with a first-person view.

Maybe, maybe not. Who knows. But like they say if it isn't broke don't fix it. In my opinion the TPS elements are fine.

They could do FPS with Third-Person elements, such as when in cover.

Not all FPS's are Halo & Call of Duty.

As long as it doesn't interfere with high-quality story RPG/TPS Mass Effect games, they are free to try whatever comes them into mind. But I can't say I would appreciate ME like I do right now if it were FPS style.

I almost always play Fallout 3 in TPS, just when I need to aim a bit carefully I switch to FPS. Otherwise, it always is a RPG/TPS for me.

mass effect is more than just a shooter. unlike halo it actually lets the player get to know the squad instead of just randomly have em on there. this **** is the reason why i say shooters take over the market because its fanbase believes  the cover system from cod should be in mass effect and honestly that is the worst idea i ever heard. leave it the way it is and build up from it.

Treyarch did this with Quantum of Solace, and it worked very, very well. Switching to third person view while in cover (and during various intersped quick time events) made good use of Daniel Craig's likeness.

As nobody spends 100 percent of the time admiring their character while in third person view, i think that briefly switching the perspective should satisfy those that that want to be able to see their customised character.

As long as the conversation wheel is kept, i would have no problems with this. In fact i think it would make the game better.
