Is that somehow different from just an African skin tone?Perfect-Kenshin wrote...
But an African American skin tone was impossible no matter how much I played around with the character creator.

Some tones were indeed in the CC.

I am pretty sure african americans have many tones.

I'd disagree...I can't remember who, but someone aptly described them as really bad sunburns. They don't look right.

Well, we're talking about a game with elves, dwarves and dragons. Historical correctness is kind of moot. I'm not saying to suddenly make 50% of the NPCs black and 50% of the NPCS white. I simply wish for there to be more depth added to the character creator.hxx7y wrote...
i dont know thedas seems to be an analouge for europe and whilst there were plenty of black people in medieval europe due to the proximity of north africa thedas has yet to show its analouge of north africa id say there definately are black people in the lore i suppose you could call it we just havent seen them yet perhaps further west beyond the anderfells or another contenant as there would need to be a signifigant natural barrier to prevent commerce...
and ive probably thought too much on this so ill leave it at that

Frivolous thread is frivolous, but in the previous game, I wanted the Warden to look like me. But an African American skin tone was impossible no matter how much I played around with the character creator. Thus, I was wondering if it'd be possible in Dragon Age 2.
That's odd. I had no problem creating a black human noble in one of my playthroughs. Even one of the default choices for human and female is black.
