We needed less dark tones and more pale tones.

THey could have done better in terms of lighter tones.

Wow, he must be sore, because that's rather deep red than brown/black to my eyes

Frivolous thread is frivolous, but in the previous game, I wanted  the Warden to look like me. But an African American skin tone was impossible no matter how much I played around with the character creator. Thus, I was wondering if it'd be possible in Dragon Age 2.

Bioware has said they want the gamer to play protagonists native to Thedas. Which is kinda like europe, so they have to be white or something close to it.

"Thus, I was wondering if it'd
be possible in Dragon Age 2" I doubt it since Hawke is a native of Fereldan and they are white.

That's odd. I had no problem creating a black human noble in one of my playthroughs.  Even one of the default choices for human and female is black.

PC mod maybe?

No.  Just the standard 360 version.

I am pretty sure african americans have many tones.
Some tones were indeed in the CC.

I'd disagree...I can't remember who, but someone aptly described them as really bad sunburns. They don't look right.

I have seen pure african americans who look almost white in skin tone.

then they weren't pure african. Truth be told no African American is pure. We all are mixed to some degree. Most don't know that though.

Well show us a brown skinned character then, rather than that deep red sizzled dwarf you paraded and embarassed before us earlier.

Ugh. Didn't this come up when DA:O released? Wish BioWare would just throw it in so we do not need a thread of this type with every game.

Please stop calling white people "Caucasian". Similarly, please stop calling black people "African American". Both terms suck.

The photo of the helicopter should have ended this thread.

Well, I am also African-American ( with a very diverse family ;-)) ) however I have a light skin tone ( light caramel ). I honestly did not think the skin tones in DAO were all that bad, but this is just my opinion. A lot of people consider us "colored" people. Truth is, that is not too far off for indeed we most certainly do come in many colors.
