Heya Everyone,

ive resently come back to nwn, and i baught the platinum edition, basicly when ever i run the game its fine, the second i install the 1.69 patch for hotu it becomes very laggy, like the red cloud thing in the back ground slows right down,

ive looked at solutions such as turn cpu from 0 to -2 didnt work, changed settings didnt work, and ive tryed other solutions from the old website if anyone can help i would really apprsheate it ,

i also use visa if that helps any one.

System specs and how are you running the game (i.e. SP or MP and are you using any hak or override files)?

im not using any override or hak files, and how do i get to see the system specs (only 18 so dont rele know much bout comps lol)

Open up C:\\NeverwinterNights\\NWN\\ nwconfig.ini and copy/paste. You may want to paste into an editor like Notepad first to get rid of the unnecessary lines before pasting to the forum.

it says 1.69 but its really 1.68 coz if i go to mulitplayer online it askes if i want the 1.69 update so i just say no

You have me confused and maybe others.

Your topic indicates you are having trouble since you installed patch 1.69 yet you now say you have not. So have you removed the patch but neglected to re-run the config?

As far as what the MP server is reporting, it is quite possible it is having trouble recognizing your version similar to the problem the config is having.

You reported that you use Vista ("visa") yet the config seems to recognize an XP installation. Not good.

For some reason, the config cannot find either your Vcard brand, model or driver.  That's a problem.

Since this is possibly a video issue, without full information about your video configuration, the community is just taking shots in the darks hoping to hit something.

BTW, did you patch (if you DID actually patch, that is) using the updater or by downloading the Critical Rebuild?

Yeah Im Using The 1.68 Patch Atm, Cause It Works Fine, But With The 1.69 Patch I Have To Reinstall, And I Know Its Wierd, Coz Im Using Windows Vista (spelling mistake) But When Playing The Game I Can Use The Highest Spec, Coz I Use 64mp thingy, When I Read Through All That It Really Confuses Me Lol

Hey Again, Just Found Out From My Dad, That Before He Gave Me The Pc, He Might Of Installed The Windows xp service pack 2, But Origanally The Pc Was Vista, Any Way Of Me Being Able To Find Out ?

Sounds like you're working with a messed up system there.

Your issues likely extend beyond how NWN runs. Especially if someone has managed to install a non-OS service pack.

You may need to start over from scratch and do a re-in of your OS.

i know this is going to sound dumb lol, but what does OS mean ? and i dont know, the game runs perfect without the 1.69 patch, coz ive restarted on the original last week sometime and im on the 3rd chapter on the highest specs, and i currently have the 1.68 patch installed, ill take some screen shots and post them to show like the game graphic wise, but i just dont know what to do.
