Does anyone know what's so "ultimate" about the ultimate edition?  What are they including it it?

The content of the edition - or even its existence - has not yet been officially announced.

actually, it was up briefly on gamestop's website but has since been taken down. the screen shots i saw from when it was up indicate that it will have origns and awakening in one package, anything beyond that is speculation.

I just found out about the Ultimate Edition and hope it includes Awakening and all the DLC!! Wish they'd make an official announcement about it. When is it likely to happen?

I replied to this in an earlier thread, already preordered my ultimate for 5 dollars at gamestop its due in hand on October 13th 2010. Not sure what it all entails just know that it is cheaper at 60 new than buing da o and daa used which adds up to 70? So any thing else on top of that is icing. Looking forward to it.

That settles it, I'm not buying the witch hunt DLC and I'm trading it my copy of Awakening towards this Ultimate Edition.

I agree, but these days, releasing something in mid-October IS Christmas time.

If Witch Hunt is the final DLC, then it would make perfect sense that the Ultimate edition has the original game, the expansion, and ALL the DLC.

I hope it comes out, I've been telling my cousin about this game, and having the ultimate edition would skip all the downloads he must make.

 Just sold my DA:O copy for £12. The Ultimate Edition is being sold on Amazon.co.uk for £31. I brought DA:O for £30. So I am not losing anything. I had finished everything in DA:O anyway. It must be released this year since DAII comes out next year. It's plausible that it will be released next year but surely that would be before March. Either way, I am getting it. If it has the expansion and all of the DLC, then I am basically stealing from Bioware thanks to my quick tactics.

I saw this on the Dragon Age home page, and I checked out the digital download. Anyone know when it will be available to residents in Australia?

I am a big fan of the game, but it is very upsetting and unfair that Bioware releases everything to the US and Canada, and then to the UK and Europe without word about the rest of the world. :<

so for dragon age 2 - either don't buy it or wait for the da2 ultimate ed whatever to come out.



frankly - i don't think buying the dlcs was worth it.. release day bugs... using your fan base to play test... i think i've had it.

I was in Game the other day asking and they are now showing it on their system but I cant rember what date they said as they want $80aud for it. and with the current exchange rate I have just pre-ordered a copy form cduniverse (US based) as it works out cheeper and on PS3 its non regoinal (same goes for PC not to sure if x360 is non regional or not as i dont own one)

gotta say, i spent the last month or so dreading the release thinking that id be dragged into forking out around £60 for a few items i didnt get with the regular games plus DLC.



but at £24.99 ill just buy this so i can play on my PC, its finally time to leave my consoles behind
