Of course, if I ever get around to making a SH mage Warden I can be pretty sure that run will not have Wynne.

While I have doubts concerning the worth of her advice in relation to my Warden(s), as a mage I find her one of the most valuable party members I ever get. You can rather easily work with someone even if you can't stand them.
Really? As a mage I found her the most annoying. Something about being told how I should feel about the Circle, the Tower and the Chantry on top of being told how to be a Warden really got under my skin.

I didn't mean when I was a mage. I meant as far as Wynne being a mage. I've not once managed to get a mage past Lothering.
Ah. Yeah lines up with my experiences. lol

Me being irresponsible???? Okay if we are going to be all responsible and stuff. How is this for irresponsible; I'm letting a possible abomination travel Fereldon with me yes you Wynne. That spirit could go bat **** crazy any moment, and kill the last two remaining Grey Wardens in Fereldon. How do you feel about that? Next village we are in I will do the responsible thing and notify the local Templar of your condition okay? Since you being a potential abomination puts my duty at risk.

Other than, of course, the minor quibble of what makes an abomination an abomination.

I'd be wary of any Fade Spirit. They're very one track minded.

Also the fact Wynne is unsure of its intents adds even more caution. I wasn't implying she is an abomination, but I was making my point that she could turn into one and put Fereldon in peril just like my Grey Warden romancing Leliana could in theory put Fereldon in peril. I found that very hypocritcal of her.

That's actually a boon in this case. People who fixate on one path are far, far less likely to make sudden and drastic changes of actions.MariSkep wrote...

She also tells you about herself and her unsought status. She doesn't have a choice about what she is at this point, while you do have a choice about a relationship. How are the two equal, let alone contrasting?Jacks Smirking Revenge wrote...

Well there are two schools of thought as regards to Wynne and the Fade. The first is hers where she says that she has always had an affinity for the Fade. The other is Ines' who states that the Fade shines out of Wynne's bum. I tend to agree with Ines.
Judging from Wynne's Fade dream, I agree with Ines. She has Wynne's number and my support.
I suppose either way Wynne has an affinity for the Fade, the second one being less pleasant to the Fade...

But then she ruins it if you choose the 'Oh, don't call me that' option because then she's all "Oh, right. You're not really a Cousland anymore and I'm under the faulty impression GWs can't legally hold titles."Zjarcal wrote...
Yeah, when you're a noble and she asks you how you became a warden, once you let her know you are a Cousland she goes:
"You're the last of the Couslands? I had no idea... my Lady."
It's the face she does while saying it that really gets me, sort of like "oh please, don't order my execution if you don't like what I'll say!".

"Wynne?"
"Yes dear?"
"Your Fade is showing"
*cough* and hurried adjustment of garments.

I spent entirely too much time in the shower giggling at this thought:

Still, that's nothing compared to the utter horror of taking her to Andraste's Ashes.

Loghain: You look as though you want to say something, Wynne. What's stopping you? You've never held your tongue for politeness's sake before.
Wynne: No, it's nothing.
Loghain: Why should that matter? There have been plenty of occasions in the past when you've had nothing to say and said it anyway. Loudly, in fact.

I see what I've been missing. Next time I'm masochistic enough to bring Wynne, I'll be sure to recruit Loghain. I didn't initially dislike Wynne, but given what I've learned of her background, I sure do now. Age does not equal wisdom. Spending life in a Tower grants no insight on the way of the world. Fairytales do not make you an expert on the Wardens. Lecturing about one's duties as a warden, then switching gears and lecturing about one's duty to the Circle, on the advice of an apostate is hypocritical. And any grown woman who spouts off about love being selfish automatically loses all respect in my book.

Welcome aboard the Wynne hate club! For the best results, combine Wynne with a party of Loghain, Morrigan, or Zevran.
