You've thoroughly made your point, but generally when you consider a thread to "be pointless", that's a good indicator that you shouldn't post in that thread anymore. Let people have whatever discussions they choose to, no one is obligated to post in every thread, or participate in every hot debate
Thank you

But having said that I do believe Bioware does a pretty good job of appealing to the female market. DA itself and the number of women posting on this site are both evidence of that. If those women are simply requesting Bioware to tone down the "eye-candy for 13 year old boys" quality of some character models to make the game more appealing to women then Bioware may want to listen to them.

Further claims about female gamers without facts or studies to back them up will be considered hate speak and slander.
Both are explicitly against forum rules.
Please keep the conversation intelligent and informed and do not give in to those who are trying to turn this into a gender war.
This facts are random.. I am talking about WoW as a whole and it had more players then that at a time even..
That means (EU, US , ASIA and all the private server or whatever)
then please pack up your claim with a study or press release and do not make unbacked up summary claims...
Otherwise again it will be considered slander
did you hear that mehow_pwn mate? SLANDER!! you could go to jail

agreed but this thread is not about the game. Just the advertising. The game itself and it's ME siblings are highly appealing to women. That is why I think there could be a high ROI if marketed properly

The difference between the number of potential users of your product and the number actually using it is your potential growth. Companies like growth, growth is good. So for a gaming company to turn-off or simply ignore the majority of the population would be unwise. While some games are geared more to one demographic or the other. RPGs seem to be one genre that appeals to both males and females. There are definitely more women playing RPGs now then when I first started playing video games and that (still largely untapped) market equals huge potential for gaming companies. They ignore 51% of the population at their own risk.

if people want facts in this thread then i think you will do well to look up the population of the human race. men are very slightly the larger sex of the population.

Yes but they use slander in the site rules so I used that
http://social.biowar...page/site-rules
"No slander. Insults, language, belittling of others or anything else deemed offense will be deleted without warning if considered unacceptable by an official Moderator or member of BioWare/Electronic Arts staff. Content that is insulting to anyone based on gender, lifestyle, religion, ethic group, race etc. is unacceptable and will be deleted without warning. A person or persons found to repeatedly slander others may be banned from these forums at the discretion of the staff."

That's absurd. Making incorrect claims and/or deliberately misleading statements is neither slander nor hate-speech. You might wish to consult a dictionary.

Kinda of topic but deliberately misleading statements are 'real' slander, I think, since they demonstrate a clear intent to harm someone's reputation and that the speaker knew they weren't true.

This makes less sense than your usual nonsense. If you don't complain about injustices, how is it unfair that someone who does go about righting the ones committed against them gets their's addressed?
And considering all the ****ing you've been doing about women getting special treatment I think men whining about not getting their way is pretty well documented.
