Alright, this really isn't a real issue for me since I share a console with my brother--and thus all DLC he has, I have, and he has all the ME2 DLC, Cerberus Network or otherwise. But y'see, I purchased a new copy of Mass Effect 2 for the Xbox 360 at GameStop a few weeks back, but it was a "gutted" copy--i.e. they took the game disc out of the box so they could place the game case on display. Since it was their last new copy, they put the disc in, re-sealed it with tape, and gave me a new copy. This "gutted" copy didn't come with a Cerberus Network code--it was either misplaced or stolen at some point. The only solution to this I was given by the GameStop cashier who sold me the game was to inquire as to whether or not I could receive a code from BioWare.
Is there any way I can recieve access to Cerberus Network without having to pay for it, since technically I should have a free code, or am I just S.O.L. (@#$% outta luck) because I happen to have been stuck without a code? As I say, I already have access to the freebie DLCs through my brother's Cerberus Network access, so it's not like I'm really missing out on anything but having Cerberus Network display when I actually play the game while connected to LIVE. But since I'm here, I figured I might as well put the question out there.
Didn't get a Cerberus Network code with my new copy

Can't you return the game and get another copy at another store? I mean, if you didn't know it would come without a code (i.e. used copy) then I don't see how they can sell it that way. Or did they sell it to you at a discount and told you the code was missing? I'm not sure I understand.
If you want to try to get a code, I assume it's EA support that you should contact, since they handle all those questions.

I didn't check until I left the store, and went back to see if they knew why the code was missing. They offered to exchange it or give me a refund, but I opted to keep my copy. I didn't have reliable transportation at the time, so I couldn't really go hunting around at different stores, and as I say, I really didn't have reason to care THAT much about it since I knew I could just download all the DLC by way of my brother's account. The game was on sale--I assume because GameStop had just wrapped up a big old sale on a whole bunch of other used games--but the only reason the code was gone was because it was their last new copy. I could have gone for a used one, but the difference was a whole three bucks and I felt more like supporting the developers than saving three bucks.
EDIT: ...which was another reason not to visit another store, that sale, now that I think about it.

Gamestop should replace your game no quesotions asked. If they give you grief, simply ask for the contact information for their corperate office and the number of the store and the managers name. Someone will promplty give you a new copy as they have violated their own company policy by opening the game and selling it to a customer as new.
