I'm not sure if anyone would know this but I'll ask anyway.

Is it ever mentioned anywhere when Shepard's N7 training took place? I mostly want to know if it would have been before or after Akuze/Elysium/Torfan?

I get Akuze as 2177, Elysium as 2176 and Torfan as 2178...if there's no definate answer what's general opinion?

As far as I know there's not a definate timeline on when exactly Shepard's N7 training was. I tend to lean towards the idea that Shepard being who he/she is, was targetted for such training early on.

The Skyllian Blitz (Elysium, the earliest option) took place 4 years after Shepard's recruitment from what I've read. I don't know much about real-world military training or how long it takes to reach a certain point, but it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that Shepard could have been through N7 training by that time...

(On the other hand, it's also possible that Shepard's actions on Akuze/Elysium/Torfan are the reason he/she got N7 training, though I prefer the idea of it being the other way around - unless someone has official information)

The Codex doesn't really say but my assumption has always been that Shepard was selected to go to the N7 Academy at Arcturus Station because of the Medal of Valor incident at Akuze/Elysium/Torfan if only because the storyline seems to stress the idea that the MoV incident that defines Shepard's career happened early in his term of service.

After a massive bout of nerdery, I've found that Anderson graduated from N7 when he was twenty.

I'm hoping that it seems reasonable that Shepard's process was similar. That soldiers that showed particular promise get tapped for N7 training early on.

If I was in the military I'd be the one serving tea and coffee so, I have no capacity to understand how the military works but I think it sounds plausible.

Right?

Sounds reasonable. If Anderson graduated N7 two years after enlisting, Shepard propably has done so too. Or at least before the great moment of his career. Shep was in charge on Akuze/Torfan if i remember right (Elysium was a vacation right?), so she/he propably was a promising soldier and received N7 training early on.

I don't know if this matters, but I play a spacer ruthless paragon Shepard (I like how he says that he tried to better himself so that nothing like Torfan will ever happen again). During ME 1 I noticed that the game states that Major Kyle (of the biotic compound mission) was my superior during my mission on Torfan. So while Shepard was in charge of a unit, he wasn't in charge of the whole operation.

As for his N7 training I always assumed he completed it a couple years before his defining military moment.
