They might slow down closer to ME3's release just to keep our minds on the sequel.

Okay, let's assume that 2gb is the most
that Bioware can put out there(even though that quote is over a year
old and the Xbox has gotten a major patch since then).
Well I would hardly expect them to keep making a statement saying "yep we still have a 2gb limit". If you do some research you can easily find news stories covering XBL every time they upped the limit. I have not seen any news story stating there is a new XBL limit. So it is pretty reasonable to say that the 2gb limit is STILL there, if it wasn't we would have heard about it.
KingDan97 wrote... I draw your attention to Burnout Paradise, which currently has a download named "Patch 1.9", it added a new space to the game, as well as updating old ones so that everyone could play online together.
Ah so basically you are saying they could sneakily add some of the DLC as a patch. I am pretty sure MS wouldn't be too chuffed if Bioware did that after all MS are the ones paying for the bandwidth. I get the feeling MS would definitely have issues with a patch coming to a couple of hundred megs and containing "background DLC files".

Who plays an RPG for it's combat?
Well it seems a lot of people do that since BIoware made Mass Effect 2 more of a shooter than an RPG.

EDIT:
And Speed Running implies you already know the layout of the level, which means you've already played it once. So it's actually longer than you implied.
Tell me which bit of Kasumi required you to "know the layout" ? It was as linear as ****, After the "incredibly" difficult vault puzzle [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie] it was basically go down this corridor, shoot mercs, go down this corrider, shoot mercs etc etc. Now I will admit I didn't listen to every single little thing that Kasumi had to say, I don't really need to have a character explain to me what a "heist" is but I did listen to a fair bit of her ramblings. The first time I did Kasumi I finished it in just under 30 minutes, I remember thinking "what that is it ?"
Aside from my own experience what about a lot of people on this board ? There were a great number of complaints about the actual length of the DLC that has to say something to you. If you check the Kasumi reviews you will see most of them highlight the fact it was incredibly short DLC for what we paid. But hey lets just ignore that shall we because YOU don't agree with it..
I actually hope I am wrong, I would love the shadow broker dlc to be of epic proportions. I don't want to fork out money and get an expansion that lasts at best an hour. However so far the history of the DLC with ME 2 shows us that we are doing ourselves a disservice by expecting a great sprawling epic lasting over several hours.

There should be a code or law where you do not announce new DLC for your video game unless you are releasing it within two weeks time. That way fans do not have to keep checking back to see if the DLC has been released yet only to discover nothing's changed.
Oh, please.
That might not be "necessary" if people acted like grown ups and didn't demand instant gratification.

I guess they might mean between 5 and 10, they don't mean an expansion.
Also, I personally took longer going through the Kasumi mission the first time than thereafter. Because I did not know exactly where I was going to go to case the vault, for example, or to find a way in around the guards to his apartment. I also actually listened to the dialog the first time, most of which I don't listen to thereafter.
Also, it has to count for something that you had another person on the team. I definitely thought it was worth every penny for that, and the neat little adventure which was very much off the beaten path. I also found her enormously useful in combat. I guess if you didn't care for Kasumi for some reason, yeah, it kinda wasn't worth it just for an approximate hour of stuff.
I have to wonder why people spend so much time and energy arguing about this stuff. Keep an open mind people! That's all I'm saying - I'm outta here.

You think Kasumi and Overlord were 1 hour questsKingDan97 wrote...
Both of those "1 hour" DLCs used under a gig. A gig is 1024 megs. Kasumi and overlord each used a little over a third of the total data which means that we'll be seeing a 3 hour DLC most likely.I did Kasumi in under 20 minutes and I am pretty sure Overlord never came close to an hours worth of game play.
KingDan97 wrote...
SO, I don't think that 2gb is so damned restrictive, especially considering your original numbers were wrong. If you used the PC numbers then that includes extra texture files for lower graphics settings, different shaders for graphics settings, different effects for graphics settings.... etc etc.
My numbers are not wrong as I said in an earlier post I am a PC GAMER therefore I would quote the numbers I have for my chosen platform. Naturally the xbox version will have slightly lower numbers due to the lower graphics and textures, but we are only talking a 200mb difference here. It doesn't change the fact that Overlord was nearly at 50% of the 2gb limit and that at best lasted 30 - 45 minutes (and that is being generous). If the Liara DLC is around 2gbs then that will net us around 1hr 30 minutes of gameplay.
So you can keep thinking that a 2gb limit isn't "damned restrictive" if you want, but from where I am sitting I am not impressed. I actually hope I am wrong I would love this DLC to be significantly indepth and last more an hour but going on the history of ME 2 dlc it seems the DLC will be pretty short and sweet even if it is 2gbs in size.
When you say you're being generous about overlord lasting 30-45 minutes I hope you're joking...It takes at least an hour and a half...

I like to know the achievements before I start playing, in case there are things I need to collect that may be out of the way =/
And no, I hope they don't let anyone kill Liara off in DLC. Lame. She deserves better.

Well. I personally hope it's like last time. By some fluke I was one of the first to actually play Overlord before everybody else. I hope I'm just as lucky next time.

I know a lot of people were quite annoyed by it but I actually thought it made for a nice change of pace and gameplay in Overlord. Wouldn't mind a hammerhead interlude in LotSB if it is not too long.
