Yes, it does seem odd...one theory is that the Shadow Broker may be setting up a trap for Liara and Shepard.

The SB has bigger fish to fry than Liara and that fish is Shepard.  Liara is just the bait at best.

maybe the Shadow Broker doesn't see Liara as a Threat yet,  just something to keep an eye on.

She didn't adopt anyone else's personality through sex. That's not how it works.

She was much rougher around the ends at the beginning of REDEMPTION then she was in ME1 as well, and it's just speculation/a plausible explaination.

The SB must know Liara stole Shepard's body. It would be hard to believe he / she doesn't. According to Liara herself, it wasnt' a clean mission (she barely escaped and her friend died)

If someone pulls that off, steals precious cargo from me, messes up with my evil plans, well... that someone qualifies as a threat.  And threats must be dealt with harshly and swiftly.

I said this earlier in this thread - Bioware are setting Liara up to be an enemy in ME3, hence the big personality change. Whether she's an LI or not, you still kill her mother, and then she goes on to give the "Asari commando unit" quote that her mother said in ME1. There's no way Bioware would put this quote in ME2 if it didn't have any significance.



We'll see next week if Liara goes more in this direction or not.

If Liara will become an enemy my Paragon Shepard will kill her without hesitation....even if she was my romance and i remained loyal to our relation.But i hope that a renegade Shepard can ally himself with a renegade Liara.

u all still do not see liara is going bad on here own but ur paragon shep will be her true redemption or renagade will be her ultimate damnation too sides one desision will u save liara or turn her into the thing she is hunting i no i am gonna save her what will u do? and also bioware would not go through so much trouble to bring u a DLC where u could contiue a romance thing about it liara was the best LI in ME1 it was more pure and true that Kaiden or Ash who where whiners some how i dont think liara will have the strength to turn on shep and even less is she was ur LI in ME1

The Featherhead has not been mentioned once in relation to the DLC, so safe bets are on it NOT being included in Lair of the Shadow Broker.

The reason why Liara said the same quote as her mother did is because they are related, besides this, she has to be tougher or mean because of what she is doing - information broker. Imagine what will go wrong if you are a soft information broker? Will your client and your enemy be mercy on you?



For those didn't read those 4 comics, Liara was barely survived when she tried to recover Shepard body from one of the best man from Shadow Broker. The reason she insisted to hunt SB down is because the friend who helped her to recover the body may still held by SB, even with a slight chance that Liara wants to rescue him.



Liara isn't like who she was in ME, but she becomes stronger and smarter.

This, completely. The experience with the Shepard's body and the work as an information broker changed Liara, but imoh she is the still the same of ME1. Only the appareance is changed. Look at one of the screenshot, she is about to cry, and i think we will hear from her some kind of "revelation" or "talk" (sorry, i don't know how is "sfogo" in english, if someone can translate) with a final hug and cry.
