I think it would be great if they (Bioware) would allow for all of the Extras, like when you Pre ordered the game and you had a choice of what to choose. As to put all of that into DLC in different packs,
so one could have Dragon Armor or the promo`s from Dr Pepper? That I would like to see and would pay for it as well!

The Dr. Pepper promotion is still ongoing, so there'd no reason to release those outside of its promotion. Unless they want to ****** off Dr. Pepper/7-Up and get into some legal issues.

Sorry, I was unaware that the promo was still going on. My bad! Posted Image

Remember a certain sidequest in ME1 on the Citadel?
Can't see why the SB wouldn't be an A.I.
It would make sense too.

Yes, of course SB could be an AI.  I just think BioWare knows they have gone to that well too many times, and won't do it here.

We already killed Liara's mother, I don't think we're gonna kill the father too, so SB is not her father imo.

The SB is an A.I. Mark my words.

Then that's a copout. Mark THAT.

I don't care if it's a copout. My gut-feeling tells me it's an A.I. The Redemption comics gave me this feeling when (spoiler for who didn't read the comics) Liara confronted the "fake" Shadow Broker robot.

If its an A.I., there will be a lot of unhappy campers.

My memory is terrible, but I only remember two times in ME1 (the alliance failed experiment and citadel sidequest) and Overlord DLC...

Geth.  Reapers.

Also, Overlord was the last "mission" DLC.  Using the same trope again in the very next mission DLC would be... a real shame.

But are we sure that the SB identity will be revealed in LotSB? The new Priestly's post only says that we will fight for the kidnapped Liara's friend, Feron, not that we will meet the SB. Who says that Feron is in the same place of the SB?

I don't really see how the SB reveal can be satisfying.

If it's going to be realistic it should be an AI or a group of people. If it's the former then people will complain about all the AI enemies, and if it's the latter then I'm not sure the DLC will be all that "climactic" or resolute unless you fight them all at the same time.

If it turns out to be just one random guy (and I say that because I highly doubt it will be a female) then it won't feel realistic unless he shares the workload with a bunch of other people anyways, and if that's the case then there is no real power in actually being the Broker.

My guess is SB is an organic individual who has a large network of people (each of whom knows only little pieces) and relies on computers for a lot. Nobody says this guy has to walk around with all the knowledge in the galaxy in his head at once.

Even with a load of computers, VI, and underlings the Broker would have to deal with a lot of information at once, what with mercenary contracts, individual private deals, group deals, etc.

It's just that the more he contracts out his workload the less impressive his title is, thus less climactic the whole mission is if you end up destroying him.

Do we have official word on if this is pre-end game, post-end game, or either?

Probably post if I've been reading right. Everything else has been pre-end game though.

Michael Gamble said that this DLC is the first real bridge between the ME2 and ME3 story, so i think it will be post-SM. Anyway, i'm almost sure that other news will be released tomorrow, Gamble said that other news will be released as the release date gets closer, and the 7th is the next tuesday.

You're star of the day.  Thanks!  That does seem to imply post endgame.  I have a replay of my favorite Shepard watiing at the last real point you can do DLC without crew dying.

Crazy theory inbound!!!!!!!!!

I'm betting there is no Shadow Broker. It's like a huge semi-sinister wiki that you you get money for uploading to and have to spend money to download from. Someone set it up, but since then it's been running all by itself. Not an AI... but a system that follows its own rules as to when new kiosks are opened and such.

This will dovetail nicely with the Witch Hunt DLC for Dragon Age. Because we'll learn there is a puppet master/shadow broker figure there.... but going looking for the Shadow Broker will be a witch hunt.

That or I read too much into things. >.>

Eh, I don't know about that.  SB is obviously a super-competent person and formidable opponent.  The fact that s/he controls a vast network of underlings and has powerful tools at his/her disposal doesn't take away from that, imo.

I'm betting it's a single person. They may have underlings that are more powerful than others, but ultimately their is one person at the top of the hierarchy in this organization.

Im not going to say HOW I know it's only one person....But let's just say that I am 99.9% POSITIVE (due to my own personal source) that the SB is ONLY ONE PERSON.

All the dialogue we have implies the SB as an individual.

The organization may be impressive and formidable, but I don't see how that implies to the individual at the top. The more he contracts out, the less he does himself, and thus the less important he is to the entire setup. If Liara can just waltz in and steal his position and take over the network (theoretically) then he was indeed hardly impressive at all.

Cant be a Salarian unless they've found a way to extend their lives beyond 30-40 years because the SB has been around for a LONG time

Yeah, a salarian or a human would both be ridiculous concepts as the SB unless the title is passed from person to person over time, and still a human would be laughable (though right on par with BioWare's "humans are the chosen species" theme).

And since I reckon it won't be a female, the asari are out. An elcor or hanar would be too silly, and I imagine a volus might also be hard to take seriously (name any "tough" volus...). A krogan would probably break the mold of their people so that's probably out.

So, what, quarian? Turian? Batarian? Drell? Probably some grizzled turian.

My bet is Drell .
